Thohir, congrats on the signing of Hernanes.
“Thank you. First of all I’d like to say thank you to Lotito who made it possible for this to be realized. I think that Hernanes and D’Ambrosio are important players for Inter, we needed new elements for this season. But I think it is also important to thank the players who are leaving on loan to get playing time. Theyput their own will aside to be able to help us out. One day they’ll come back here, maybe they are just away for six months.
Did you work a lot with the banks and Lotito?
“It was exciting and it is true; we’ve worked a lot. They were decisions taken by everybody, following a precise strategy for the club also on a financial and marketing level.”
Are you happy about your first transfer window?
“Yes, I think it went well. But it is football and nobody can guarantee you that the new arrivals can produce results for the team. Obviously we hope that we’ve made the best investments to improve the squad.”

I honestly don’t know why people are so excited for a defender/wing thats not that much different from what we have and yet another midfielder who isn’t close to world class. Plus spending up to 20 mil plus wages is ridiculous, were not getting anything this season anyway so why not save that money?
I am happy with the result: Finally we have Botta in the squad; Pereira left and D’Ambrosio can only be an improvement; Hernanes is a good player and with him in the squad, we won’t have to see bird-shooting-selfish-diva Guarin in the starting eleven each game!!!

I’m sorry but I think that we made a bad mercato. Buying Hernanes for 15 million and with too big salary who’s almost 29 old.And this season his performance is 30 games 4 goals and 3 assist. For D’Ambrosio we give 50% of Benassi in case that we can take him in the summer for free.And we can’t get rid of players like Mariga,Mudingayi, Wallace, who’s useless only warming the bench and get money.
Stop complaining.
Inter fans have been whining about the club not spending money on players. Now we spend, and personally I think we did it for a good price. You can’t get quality players like Hernanes for 8 mio.
We need to spend big to get big.
Andrea Pirlo was 32 when he joined Juve, and our own Captain Javier Zanetti is still performing at a high level beyond 40. This proves that age is just a number. Let’s focus on the player’s qualities instead of his age.
All the players in Lazio have performed horribly this season under Petković. When Reja arrived the team and Hernanes started winning again. I don’t think the problem was Hernanes lack of performance as an individual rather than the whole team was in chaos under Petković leadership.
Just like all the players have performed horrible since the arrival of Mazzarri..
Aren’t you forgetting players like Alvarez, Jonathan and Nagatomo? Under Mazzari Alvarez has started to perform at the level we all hoped he would. Nagatomo and Jonathan are both playing like never before in their roles as wingers.
Alvarez already started showing his skills last season under Strama. For Jonathan and Nagatomo, yes they may be playing like they never did before, but their level is just not Inter level. Theres a reason why Nagatomo was in Cesena. He’s super fast but he’s got two left feet and the power of a mosquito in his legs. Neither of them are wingers and that gives us huge problems up in attack.

Inter seems to be on right track – its better to invest huge sum on game changer rather buying bunch of mediocre players.
If sell Ranocchia and Guarin and Banega and Casemiro (from Real Madrid) are bought plus Gomis on free transfer then its a complete team minus one defender.
Cambiasso can also play as CF and Zanetti on wing of 3 man defense. Forza Inter (For Life)..!
