Inter Milan target Marko Arnautovic will hand in his transfer request at Bologna this Monday.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who report that the 34-year-old has made it known that he wants to leave the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara among interest from the Nerazzurri, and will formally ask for the move after this weekend.

Arnautovic’s future in Bologna is currently under something of a cloud.

Inter have shown interest in the Austrian’s signature in the past few days. He is among their targets as they cast their net for a striker signing before the transfer window closes.

Meanwhile, Roma have also been linked in the past couple weeks.

So far, Inter have offered around €8 million plus midfielder Stefano Sensi to try and tempt the Rossoblu. This has not convinced Arnautovic’s club.

Mediaset report that the Nerazzurri are preparing to increase their offer to around €10 million.

However, for their part, Bologna still only want to sell their talisman if it’s for a hefty fee. Mediaset reports that the price tag for Arnautovic remains somewhere around €15-20 million.

Marko Arnautovic Will Ask Bologna To Leave On Monday

According to Mediaset, Arnautovic himself doesn’t want to stay at Bologna if Inter are keen to sign them.

Having joined the Emilian club in 2022, the Austrian would like the opportunity to play for a top club in Serie A.

Given that Arnautovic turns 35 next season, it is not as though he will likely have many more opportunities to join a club of Inter’s stature.

Therefore, Mediaset reports, the striker plans to hand in his transfer request. He will speak with Bologna’s directors on Monday.

Arnautovic intends to ask his club to accept a reasonable offer from Inter.

The 34-year-old does not want to end up missing out on a return to the Nerazzurri (with whom he had a brief stint more than a decade ago) because Bologna refused to go below a steep valuation to sell him.
