Marcus Thuram is unlikely to start in tomorrow’s Serie A clash between Juventus and Inter Milan, with Mehdi Taremi.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They also report that Francesco Acerbi is the favourite to start in defense.
The big injury subplot for Inter heading into tomorrow’s Derby d’Italia has concerned Marcus Thuram.
The Frenchman had to come off in the first half of last Monday’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina. This was due to a blow that he took to the ankle.
Thuram had tried to play on through the problem. However, he was unable to.
Thuram has not trained over the last few days. He has been easing back into training today, however.
Marcus Thuram Unlikely To Start Juventus Vs Inter Serie A Clash – Taremi Favourite
Thuram has only just returned to full training today.
Therefore, it will be tough for the France international to be in the starting eleven tomorrow.

It will be a decision that comes down to the wire. But as Inter coach Simone Inzaghi commented in a press conference today, it is looking likelier that Thuram will not start.
Therefore, the favourite to start would be Mehdi Taremi.
The Iranian international would therefore lead the line alongside Inter captain Lautaro Martinez.
Would be a tough game; tough to call. Juventus’ game has suddenly lit up with Kolo Muani. Weah, Conceicao, Thuram, Mbangula, Nico Gonzalez, now have someone to play for. Against Como, they didn’t do much, but, the atmosphere is going to be charged against Inter. However, Juve has a way of settling for a draw when the firepower of the opponent matches theirs. A 1-1 draw might settle it.
