Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu does not find himself in a “Juventus Vlahovic” situation at Inter Milan this summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Hakan Calhanoglu looks set for a stay at Inter Milan this summer.
For the last several weeks, there have been strong rumours that the Turkish international could leave the Nerazzurri after four seasons at the club.
Reportedly, Galatasaray have been pushing for Calhanoglu’s signature.
However, the Turkish champions could not come close to meeting Inter’s asking price for the 31-year-old. Therefore, the negotiations between the two clubs seemingly broke down before they could get started.
Why Calhanoglu Not A Juventus Vlahovic Situation At Inter

Behind the scenes, though, the damage looks to have been done from Calhanoglu’s transfer saga.
Such public rumours – and the fact that Calhanoglu himself seemed to embrace them and push for the move to Galatasaray – did not get a positive reception with some of the midfielder’s teammates.
Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez made plenty of waves with thinly-veiled comments on the matter. He all but personally called Calhanoglu out,
Speaking frankly after Inter’s Club World Cup exit against Fluminense, the Argentine implored “whoever wants to leave, leave.”
Therefore, if Calhanoglu is to stay at Inter as now seems likely, there would be questions of how he will fit back into the squad.
However, the Gazzetta note, that still doesn’t mean that Inter are desperate to show Inter the exit door.
This is in contrast to the awkward situation of striker Dusan Vlahovic at Juventus.
After so many rumours about the Serbian international’s future, the idea of him staying at the Bianconeri appears intolerable.
Moreover, the Gazzetta note, Juventus have already signed a replacement for Vlahovic. They brought in Canadian international Jonathan David.
Therefore, one way or the other, it is almost hard to imagine Juventus not finding a way to offload the former Fiorentina striker before the summer transfer window comes to an end.
On the other hand, Inter will not take drastic measures with Calhanoglu. Despite the recent rumours, he has always been a loyal servant and a professional.
Therefore, Inter plan to keep Calhanoglu around and reintegrate him into the squad.
A player who sold the captain’s armband of a team like AC Milan for a pittance!? His words should not be taken seriously!? And the false claims of loyalty that are made with deceit and trickery to deceive people should not be taken seriously! He made similar statements during his time at Milan, of course, there is a common proverb in the world, which says that someone who plays (works) for money will have a different master every day!? Fans are the main pillar of a team because they pay a price for their team’s success.
It kinda is….
