Franco Carboni is reportedly on the cusp of swapping Inter Milan for Empoli for a season-long loan.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio via FCInterNews, the Argentine wingback will undergo his medical tomorrow.
After agreeing on a loan deal for Valentin Carboni with Genoa, Inter will also offload his brother.
Indeed, the 22-year-old is close to joining Empoli on loan.
In fact, the deal has become a mere formality as the parties defined all the details.
Inter Milan Set to Loan Franco Carboni Out to Empoli

Franco Carboni spent last season on loan at Venezia.
However, he struggled for regular first-team action at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo.
Out of favor with Eusebio Di Francesco, Carboni only made eight league appearances.
Therefore, he returned to San Siro in June, only for Inter to find him a new club a month later.
Meanwhile, Empoli failed to maintain their Serie A status in 2024/25.
As such, they’re strengthening their squad to secure a quick return to the top flight.
Carboni should officially become a new Azzurri player by the end of Wednesday.
I would have liked to have seen a match (friendly) with this line-up:
Keeper: Stankovic (before he was sold) / Calligaris
Defence: Stabile / De Vrig / Bisseck
Midfield: De Pieri / Stankovic / Susic / V. Carboni / Henrique
Striker: P. Esposito / L. Martinez
Couple of senior pros, and a mixture of youth + new signings.
what happened to the under 23 team we wanted this season
it is a pity that most of the rising youths that can be promoted to play for the team don’t have any future at Inter and most they are sent on loans repeatedly until their careers fade. Inter is the worst when it comes to dealing with rising young players. they don’t seems to give them chance in the team, trust and develop them into star players.
there’s no surprise. this is inter, not ajax or barca. we let future superstars go such pirlo and roberto carlos
Another player with countless loans, same as Esposito, Salcedo, Vanheusden… If a kid signs full time contract with 17 or 18 years, length of that contract is 5 years in 99 % of cases. first three seasons is either primavera team max 1 year, then on loan somewhere for 2 years, since we can’t give our youth a chance to play for senior team. By then you see if he’s Inter material with 2 years of expiring contract, you the either let him play for seniors, or sell him somewhere for big bucks( we mustn’t allow for contract to expire in 1 year, since we can only sell that player cheap) or somewhere for lower fee, but inserted buy-back clause.
