Inter Milan find themselves in a transfer standoff with midfielder Kristjan Asllani after the Albanian rejected a move to Real Betis.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that Inter hope to collect a fee of €15 million for Asllani.
Albanian international Kristjan Asllani has been at Inter Milan for three years now. The Nerazzurri signed him from Empoli in the summer of 2022.
During that time, Asllani has never really managed to cement a place for himself in the starting eleven.
It is not as though the Albanian has not had chances. On the contrary, he has had playing time over all of his three seasons in an Inter shirt.
However, the Nerazzurri don’t feel that Asllani has developed to the level they’d expected when they paid a €14 million for him three years ago.
Therefore, Asllani is not a player who Inter consider to be a part of their plans going forward.
Inter In Transfer Standoff With Kristjan Asllani – Real Betis Move Rejected

But Asllani’s own stance has been fairly clear. The former Empoli midfielder only wants to leave Inter if it is for a team within Serie A.
On the other hand, the Gazzetta note, the strongest interest in Asllani has come from La Liga side Real Betis.
Therefore, Inter are frustrated with Asllani’s refusal to green light a move to Betis.
The Nerazzurri expect to be able to get a €15 million fee from the Andalusian club.
On the other hand, no clubs in Serie A have shown a willingness to pay what Inter are asking for Asllani.
He wants to stay in Italy, find a club in Serie A for him.
Only Fio wanted him but they want to pay 1/3 the price Inter want.
He’s been hurting Inter for 3 years.
Its very odd for him to reject Real Betis. Its a good club that qualifies to Europa quite frequently and even got to semi finals beating Roma. It would be a great team to get his career back in line looking at how Antony did for his. He is hurting Inter as well as hurting his own career at this point.
