Cristian Chivu is aiming to become the “democratic dictator” of Inter Milan in his first season as Nerazzurri coach.
Today’s print edition of the Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, highlight the Romanian coach’s approach, and his focus on heralding change at the San Siro.
Cristian Chivu took over as Inter Milan coach at the start of June.
And the Romanian has a tough task on his hands. He is replacing Simone Inzaghi following the 49-year-old’s shock departure for the riches on offer at Al-Hilal.
Considering that Inzaghi had spent four years shaping Inter in his image, Chivu will have his work cut out for him trying to put his own spin on the team.
Cristian Chivu Aiming To Become The “Democratic Dictator” Of Inter Milan

According to the Corriere della Sera, Chivu wants to become Inter’s “democratic dictator.”
On the one hand, the 44-year-old coach wants to make sure that his authority is total and unquestioned.
Chivu will not defer to the dressing room leaders at Inter. He has been clear from the start that the team is his, his decisions are final, and he is the one accountable for the performances.
However, Chivu will work with the team to find a formula that works.
The Romanian is likely to switch to a 3-4-2-1 formation. But he will not be dogmatic about it.
And behind the scenes, Chivu is making his voice heard regarding the transfer market. However, he is accepting that the club faces restrictions as far as going after his targets, such as Giovanni Leoni.
I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE MY DARLING TEAM RETURNING TO THE DESERVED HEIGHT AS WE’RE THE PRIDE OF ITALIAN FOOTBALL. LOSING TWO CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINALS WITHIN THREE YEARS IS UNFORGIVING. COACH CHIVU WAS A GRITTY DEFENDER DURING HIS PLAYING DAYS WITH SUCCESS. WE SHOULD ALL BELIEVE IN HIS IMPOSING STYLE OF PLAY. FOREVER INTERMILAN
A what?
I swear I’ve read the article carefully yet didn’t catch the meaning!

Seriously, I don’t give rats ass about whether he’s a dictator or not. All I care is how Inter plays this season in terms of style, youth development and winning. I want to see some good football and that’s all I care about so enough of this cringe shit.
