La Liga side Rayo Vallecano are pushing to sign out-of-favour Inter Milan defender Tomas Palacios.
This according to Argentine outlet Mercado de Pases, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan only signed Tomas Palacios last summer. However, in his first season at the club the Argentine simply never convinced.
Palacios spent the second half of last season on loan with Monza.
Meanwhile, it has long looked to be a matter of when rather than if Inter would offload the 23-year-old this summer transfer window.
The Nerazzurri had seemingly been close to an agreement with Swiss side Basel on a loan deal containing a purchase option. However, that never materialized.
Rayo Vallecano Pushing For Inter Defender Tomas Palacios

According to Argentine outlet Mercado de Pases, it is La Liga side Rayo Vallecano who are now at the front of the queue for Palacios.
The Spaniards would be able to guarantee regular playing time for the Argentine.
That would certainly be the most important aspect of a transfer for Palacios, considering his age.
Then, Mercado de Pases report, Vallecano are ready to meet Inter’s terms as far as a deal.
The Nerazzurri want to loan Palacios out, but include a purchase option worth €5-6 million in the deal.
Furthermore, Inter reportedly don’t want to lose control of Palacios’s future, and want a buyback option.
Since we’ll sell Zalewski, move Augusto to lb/lwb, leave Palacios as understudy under Bastoni, give him some playing time, and at least we’ll be able to recuperate what was paid at the end of the season. From oldtimers in back, we need to get rid of de Vrij first, almost double wage than the other two and less playing time than either of Acerbi and Darmian. Bring back Pirola on his place, had ok game against us, young, our academy player, price under 10mil.
