Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sucic said that he “couldn’t wait to play in this shirt” after today’s 5-0 win over Torino.
The Croat spoke to InterTV, via FCInterNews, after today’s match.
Inter Milan got their season off to a winning start against Torino, and emphatically so.
In Cristian Chivu’s first Serie A match in charge, the Nerazzurri beat the Granata 5-0.
Alessandro Bastoni scored the opener from a corner, whilst Marcus Thuram made it two before halftime.
Then, goals from Lautaro Martinez and a second from Thuram put the match fully out of sight in Inter’s favour.
Then, striker Ange-Yoan Bonny came on and scored a fifth in his Inter debut. Meanwhile, there were also league debuts for the likes of Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique, and Andy Diouf.
In the case of Sucic, it was a full debut, as the Croatian international started, pulling the strings in an all-action midfield performance and even bagging an assist for Thuram’s first goal.

Midfielder Petar Sucic commented after the win that “It was a great match.”
“We started the season the way we wanted. 5-0 in our first match is a great result.”

Then, Sucic called the win a “special feeling.”
“Over the last two months, I’ve been looking forward to playing here in this shirt.”
The Croat added that “I’m happy because we won, and that we played a good match. I can’t wait to play again.”
Then Sucic added that it was “very important” to start the season with a win.
“If you want to fight for trophies, you have to win,” he said.

I said all along sucic was a gem in an otherwise terrible summer…..
Diouf came on and did exactly what I expected, 50% pass completion and lost the ball when trying to dribble..
He’s asllani 2.0 except runs more, but like Dumfries ie. A headless baby giraffe.
I hated asllani but at least he could actually pass to his teammates, Diouf is an awful waste of money.
Sucic should be starting instead of Mikhi when Hakan is fit, a trio of Hakan / barella / sucic would be epic

For Christ’s sake Paulo, we’ve just won 5-0!!! And you’ve spent all summer slagging off Bonny- he didn’t do too bad, did he?? Diouf has been at the club for 3 days!! He’s hardly gonna gel with everyone straight away! It’s nit fair to give up on players before they even begin with us! Everyone (except Juve scum rejects etc.) should be given a fair chance, before you start hating on them….
