Inter Milan were defeated 4-3 by Juventus this evening in the season’s first Derby d’Italia but Nerazzurri defender Alessandro Bastoni argues his side “showed the right attitude”, despite the result.
It was a highly dramatic game, with both sides leading the match at certain points.
In fact, the Nerazzurri had a 3-2 lead heading into the final ten minutes.
However, late goals from Juventus allowed them to secure an important three points at their home ground.
Inter put in a solid display offensively but goalkeeper Yann Sommer conceded from the Bianconeri’s only four shots on target of the match.
Bastoni: ‘Inter Milan Showed Right Attitude’ Despite Loss To Juventus

Speaking to Inter TV, with quotes via FcInterNews, Inter’s Bastoni discussed the result.
“It’s hard to comment on this match,” the defender said, “for long stretches we put them under great pressure yet we went behind undeservedly twice.”
“The incidents decided the game because in terms of attitude and desire,” he added, “we were on point.”
Bastoni then said “We need to stay clear-headed, balanced and try to move forward.”
“I don’t think it’s about imposing our game, we imposed it better in other matches.”
The Italian was proud of his side’s performance, despite the result.
“It’s very easy to get down after a match like this,” he said.
“We rarely put in such a team performance in Turin against Juventus,” he added, “with all their players in their own area.”
“We need to analyse what happened but in my opinion, our attitude was right. That’s what I take away from this match.”
When 2 games in a row, we gave too much space in front of penalty area, and concede 3 shots from distance, it is attitude issue. If it is not, then it is even bigger trouble………Either players dont know how to defense, or the coaches dont know how to coach on defense………
Bastoni, Bastoni , Bastoni. I feel sorry for you. Inter is a failed club that’s why Inzaghi left read between the lines. Inter management have failed in a World cup year. Don’t expect any Ballon dor nominations. Marotta is a fool.
