Sky Sport pundit Paolo Condo has claimed Inter Milan need a “shake-up” after their Derby d’Italia defeat to Juventus and revealed it was the choice of Simone Inzaghi to leave in the summer.
Inter Milan were left stunned last night as two goals from Juventus in the last ten minutes gave the Bianconeri all three points.
Inter fought back from behind to lead heading into the 80th minute.
However, goals from Khephren Thuram and Vasilije Adzic gave Igor Tudor’s side the win.
Speaking on Sky, with quotes via FcInterNews, Condo said “Chivu’s words seemed like an attempt to curry favour with the group.”
This is in reference to the head coach’s post-match comments.
Sky Pundit Condo On Inter Milan ‘Shake-Up’ & Inzaghi Exit

Condo argued that Inter “need a shake-up” after “age-related issues” began to crop up last season.
He added that “there is no need for a complete overhaul but a refresh is necessary.”
Condo also discussed Simone Inzaghi’s summer exit.
The head coach departed the Nerazzurri in favour of a new challenge at Saudi side Al-Hilal.
“The separation from Simone Inzaghi was his choice,” Condo said.
“He decided to leave so as to not remain trapped in that sort of gratitude towards a group that had brought him to the top.
“But one which would have needed new energy to continue growing.”
Chivu arrived to replace Inzaghi with not much experience.
He still has a lot of work to do to win over fans and critics alike.
We all said that 2 years ago !!!! Marrotta has no loyalty. His owners gave him money to replace the old players with young ones but he choose to keep his bosses happy while Maldini got fired from Milan because he fought the owners of the club for money to invest !!!! Till now we see 3-4 Grandpas still play for inter and it’s embarrassing. Juve is a young talented team while inter is an aging slow team because of Marrotta
Totally agree, Chivu should trust more young players, not depends on old and slow (Inzaghi’s choice) like Acerbi, Mikhitaryan, Darmian, Zielienski, etc
And also, if Lautaro is not fit, please let him rest, Chivu still has 2 more talented players like Bony and Pio to depends on
You cannot win anything with the likes of Bony and Pio. The issue is that Inter has not bought any top level players across the departments who would fit the technical requirements of the team (providing anyone knows what these requirements are). The other thing is the coach, Chivu was a gear player, but as a coach he is a beginner, Inter, if striving for glory and not for mediocrity, must have top class coaches. But to make things clear the fact that Chivu is a coach is not his fault, but the management’s, and most likely, Marotta’s
Both Marotta and Ausilio have to leave the club. They are not doing anything and the needs a good buyer and investors. oaktree should resign
Chivu is not going to win over anyone. Management have failed and as a result Inter is a failed club. Marotta needs to go. His visions no longer suit the club.
