Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla has criticised Inter Milan head coach Cristian Chivu after the club’s 4-3 loss to Juventus, warning the Romanian if he is not careful “he will end up like Thiago Motta.”
It was a tumultuous and thrilling Derby d’Italia last night, with the Bianconeri scoring a stoppage-time winner to claim the three points.
Inter were leading the game heading into the final ten minutes.
However, the Nerazzurri capitulated in the final moments and Juventus snatched the win from under their noses.
On his YouTube channel, Pedulla said “Chivu lost on and off the pitch yesterday, I can’t say where it went more wrong.”
He continued, “In the meantime, he trampled all over the club’s transfer market, something incomprehensible.”
“If you put Akanji, who just arrived, on the pitch and then don’t rely on a fresh midfielder, you’re already indefensible.”
Pedulla: ‘Inter Coach Chivu Could End Up Like Ex – Juventus Boss Motta’

Pedulla continued his criticism of the Inter head coach.
“Luis Henrique was unused, Sucic after the dazed Zielinski. Basic substitutions that even I could make, role for role.”
He issued a warning to the Romanian, stating:
“Inter is Inter and he must remember that, if he doesn’t want to end up like Thiago Motta.”
Chivu’s situation at Inter is already showing worrying signs that parallel Motta’s poor spell in Turin.
The Bianconeri took the gamble on a young manager with ties to Serie A in the past.
Inter have done similarly with Chivu but were hoping he was destined for brighter things than the Italian.
Pedulla concluded by describing the Nerazzurri’s performance against Juventus as “a sterile possession performance.”
“It wasn’t a scandal to have lost,” he added.
“You win matches with focus. You can’t be happy about the performance when a normal coach would have flipped tables in the press room.”
inter lost against UV , not with an average team . ppl have to relax. what everyone will expect lol .
last round we lost to an average team.
chill out guys
this was just second lost of the new season
many more to come
some of your prayers for wanting attractive football instead of winning
win big score two games draw lost lost probably gonna be great pattern this year lol
I agree, many more losses to come this season..
he’ll be gone before next month if we didn’t get enough win in the remainder of September
His position as a head coach is already at risk infact the Tuesday match will determine his fate from there. Inter management are doing more harm to the club than good.
hes right
We’re too easy to play through. We needed a CDM and CB who have pace. We all knew it, but management didnt spend or find the right players. Lets hope we get to January in a decent position top 4. I suspect if we’re struggling for top 4 Oaktree will definately spend as they’ll be scared of missing out on top 4. Otherwise we may not spend at all this season, as it seems like even Mr 2% will be happy taking a cut from our profits. What a mess!
His substitutions were amateurish.
He probably hates Frattesi, otherwise zero minutes after 3 weeks can’t be explained. Frattesi played for Italy and gave an assist. I hope he does not rot Pio Esposito on the bench.
Gotta hope he wanted to be respectful to the players that were there before, before getting radical. The subs were poor and in general the game plan is looking poor. 3 in the back and possession football is not playing to the strengths of the team we have available and the coaches supposed vision for how he wants the team to play
