Inter Milan have reportedly decided to trigger a buyout clause for Udinese loanee Mattia Marello at the end of his loan spell at San Siro.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri will purchase the teenager in the summer for a reported fee of €3-4 million.
Mattia Marello joined the Inter Primavera from Udinese last summer, quickly becoming one of the team’s standout performers.
Indeed, head coach Benito Carbone has heavily relied on the 18-year-old full-back this season.
Marello has made 41 competitive appearances for the youth team this term, including 30 starts for the Primavera side.
However, he is still waiting for his U23 debut, with Stefano Vecchi hesitant to include the prodigious left-back in his promotion-chasing squad.
Inter Milan to Purchase Mattia Marello from Udinese
Inter Milan paid around €1 million to sign Marello on loan last summer.
After a string of impressive performances in the UEFA Youth League, the youngster has convinced the club to hand him a permanent contract.
Furthermore, Marello has scored two goals and added ten assists in the domestic championship.
Therefore, it’s no wonder that the Nerazzurri are ready to part with €3-4 million to secure his services in the summer.
Moreover, there’s also a chance for the prodigious defender to join the senior team for pre-season preparations.
Interesting.
I remember the summer of 2015 and the new kid on the left wing was looking so fierce. So hungry. I think it was the first friendly vs some stutgart team from a lower division.
Dima never chilled.
So it would be nice to see some young players in the summer friendlies actually making the cut for the new season. Exactly why the coach of the last 4 age groups got the job.
Staying on course.
Now time to take another 3 points with a whole bunch of goals and pass the 80 goals mark this friday.
Forza Inter
