I think if we would have 2 very good wingers and 1 better defender we could compete. With Icardi and Palacio/Osvaldo our attack is quite decent, with M’Vila, Kovačič, Medel, Hernanes(and subs like Guarin, Alvarez) our midfield is quite decent too. If we had 2 very good wingers like Asamoah/Cuadrado and such and one good defender to link up with Vidič and Jesus, we could compete for real.
But with Jonathan/D’Ambrosio and Ranocchia, I think we are very lucky if we get a CL spot.
if Dodo can play like he did against roma consistently, I think the wing-back would be sufficient for the UCL spot.
I’m more worry about the depth of our forward.
