Tonight the official announcement was made by Inter: Gary Medel is an Inter player. This is what inter.it published tonight:
FC Internazionale announce that Gary Medel has been signed from Cardiff City FC. The Chilean midfielder has signed with the Nerazzurri on a four-year contract. Already with the first team, Medel has worked out several times at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti in Appiano Gentile, and is now at the service of coach Walter Mazzarri. Here is some additional information on the new Inter signing.
You’ve all heard and read the “Pitbull” nickname by now – especially if you watched the World Cup this summer. But it would be a mistake to assume that Gary Medel’s game is all muscle. Because the Nerazzurri’s new midfielder has much more than fighting spirit. He also boasts an impressive stat: a 90% pass completion rate over a 19-metre radius.
Then when you throw in his adaptability, his reading of the game, his ability to make forward runs and cover back to defend on dead balls, you have the picture of a complete midfielder. And one who goes beyond the label of a “pitbull”.
Let’s examine some of his matches from Brazil. Against Australia Medel was one of the most impressive players on the pitch, completing 97% of his passes. Against Spain we saw him log two tackles and intercept three passes without committing a single foul. Furthermore, he completed an impressive 84% of his passes. Not bad against the masters of tiki-taka. “Gary is in top form right now as he arrives in Italy. He’s an idol in Chile. You’ll fall in love with him, and you’ll see even more fans cheering for Inter in Chile,” stated Ivan Zamorano. It’s hard to disagree with him.
Medel began playing in the streets in his hometown of Pudahuel. Not content with challenging kids of his own age, Gary preferred games against 14 year olds, when he was still only eight. “They would try everything they could to knock me to the ground. But I would dribble right past them and always stayed on my feet.” With his feet on the ground and proud. And now a Nerazzurri player.

Hey Guys,
Just wanted to provide my insight/ opinion on a potential line-up this season. Would you guys want Mazzarri to deploy a defensive midfield trident (4-3-1-2)? Essentially like this:
Handa
Dodo Rano Vidic Juan
Medel M’Villa
Kova
Hernanes
Palacio Icardi
Let me know what you think. Constructive Criticism is always welcomed from my fellow Interisti!
Good lineup but I doubt WM will use that formation he is too stubborn and stuck on his 3-5-2 or 3-5-1-1 but I can see how this formation works
I’m not sure about dodo on the right I would prefer nagatomo but he works best on the left so I think
Jonathan/D’ambrossio….Ranoccia….Vidic….Nagatomo defence would work best. Jesus is a perfect replacement for Vidic when he gets tired. But you would have to alternate between the two so they both get quality playing time
The rest I agree with except icardi, I’m not really a big fan of him, I think he’s a bit lazy upfront, based on what I see from Osvaldo I would pair palacio and osvaldo
Nice reading! I love this guy and really think he will have an amazing season! Forzaaa
Welcome to Internazionale Milano,Gary Medel 🙂
I hope that WM uses him right and not dumb position..
Inter is building a great squad, but it isn’t enough to win the Europa League and the scudetto… Maybe Thohir will bring two top players… Chicharito and Lavezzi are good enough!
Inter inter I lke yr fprmation nd the placement of the players….from Ghana
BEST FORMATION FOR ME. 4-3-1-2
…………….ICARDI………OSVALDO……………
…………………………………………………………
……………………..HERNANES……………………….

handa
ranocchia vidic juan
nagatomo medel kovacic hernanes dodo
icardi palacio
WE CAN WIN 30 GAMES OUT OF 38 , IF REFEERES DON’T MAKE MISTAKES AND WITHOUT MUCH INJURIES.
30 * 3 = 90(VICTORIES)
3 * 1=3 (DRAWS)
5 * 0 = 0(LOSES)
………………….WITH 93 POINTS INTER IS THE CHAMPION IN THE UPCOMING LEAGUE.
AND WITH ANOTHER STRIKER THIS COULD HAPPEN.
Welcome to Inter PITBULL! but how much is the cost of the transfer? 11m or 9m? Looks like a bargain.. Forza Inter from Algeria
8 million euro as far as I know. But there are probably bonuses as well so I would say about 8-10 million euro.
Thanks Mate
£10m British Pounds Sterling
Is what you wished for. But you got 8 million euro. 🙂
