At the end of the opening match in Europa League against Dnipro a satisfied Walter Mazzarri commented on the performance: “We played a great game. We allowed almost nothing against a tough team. I can say that I am satisfied. In the end we should pay more attention. Now we focus on Palermo.” He then goes into the details of the match in Kiev: “We created more dangers in the second half and we could have scored more and closed the game. We knew that they would be fast and that we would not be given any space. We set up the match in a certain way and we even had some young players who made their debut in Europe. Some, then, played their first 90 minutes. We settled into the match and grew in stature as it wore on. An important victory? Yes, very much. It’s not easy for anyone to win here against a team that is doing well in the league. I was pleased to play a good game, because we have changed a lot in our formation and this is proof that we have a good squad,” he concluded.

Its not bad, actually our players control about fitn
We play like shit. but managed to get 3 points, with 5 role player starting against toughest opponents on the group at their home turf. So its preety good for me.
Look at squads from napoli and fiorentina tonight. Only one italian !!!! Its very sadly what happend with italian squads!!! Lazio too. Only candreva is italian.!!!
Unimpressive and mediocre are words that come to my mind. But yeah, Mazzarri, call such games great and then expect more “great games” throughout the season. Nice way to motivate the players there.
Actually, he did well to say that. The team played with some subs and didn’t let a goal in, and this was arguably the hardest game in the group stage. So maybe YOU should be more positive.
Or you really think critizicing this performance was the way to motivate them? non-sense.
Praising last night’s performance builds a fake self-esteem that will burst at the first greater difficulty. The players are not kids that should be spared a few harsh words. They are grown men, they can withstand a little criticism.
