Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio talked to Mediaset Premium after the 4-1-loss against Zeman’s Cagliari. This is what he had to say;
“If we had an explanation for the game we wouldn’t be here to discuss it. A team that is aiming to be a big team can’t concede the goals we did today. Not just bad on the physical level but lacking in the mental one as well. If we had played the whole game in 11 maybe we’d been able to get past the difficulties. We lost the game, and badly. Thohir is disappointed as is everyone else, he came down to the locker room and he gave everybody positive signals saying we need to react on Thursday. We need to get back on our feet straight away and forget this game fast.”
Ausilio then continues; “ The mister has already talked about the physical aspect, also regarding some of the mistakes that happened because of the turnover. As for the tactical things, with the 3-5-2 we’ve always done well with it. We didn’t concede goals because of tactical issues, but for situations in which they luckily beat us to the ball every time. The team looked tired and the aggressiveness was lacking. If that was the problem I hope we won’t see it again, that it was just a one-time thing. We will watch the video of the game and study the mistakes we made, especially the mental ones, not so much the tactical ones. Every season has its story, I believe that it all needs to be forgotten and we need to go back to the certainties we had before and that we still have. Up until this game we conceded almost nothing and neither the players nor the tactical system are wrong all of a sudden.”

o yes mister. lack of aggressiveness because lack of energy. lack of energy because they played too much in a short space. too much playing because almost no rotation. no rotation because not much option to take. and for that not much option i’m sure you already knew who you should be pointed your finger at, dear mister mercato
Its good how quick they gave us the explaining and the next step they will take. Even tho i disappointed about this lost, I glad coz at least the management reacted with a good attitude.

As for mentality problem,indeed,.this is one of WM weakness, he is not a really good motivator and dont have a champions mentality yet.
I rememberred Ausilio said that he will make a surprise for us at january. New coach perhaps? Mou? 🙂
