Mancini’s interview with Sky

Inter coach Roberto Mancini gave SkySport a long and interesting Interview, speaking about everything.

What did you feel after returning to Inter?

“After so many years abroad I wanted a new adventure abroad also, but then Inter approached and they mean a lot for me, the affection of the fans and all the work done together in the past have counted so much, not to mention the challenge as the situation is not easy, today is different than the last time, We hope to do well. Then… Inter remains Inter.”

Massimo Moratti?

“We have been together for four years and we have worked very well. When I went to see him I was very pleased to see the framework of the 15th Scudetto in his house.”

The fans?

“Most of the fans are happy for my return, this gives me so much strength and desire to do well, what matters is the work which will be very difficult. There will also be many obstacles for us and for them.

How long will it take to achieve Inter’s goals?

“I do not know, Inter started with certain goals, the Champions league will be difficult, but we are not so far away, we have a duty to try till the end.”

Financial fair play?

“It is a big problem, we have to scout for the opportunities and young talents, Inter did it for years with great results, and I believe that we must have the courage to invest in the youngsters, like the Kovacic deal.”

The market?

“We might be forced to let go of some important players to look for other more important profiles right now, but I hope that this doesn’t happen, Inter needs reinforcements in certain areas where there are gaps, mostly wingers right now.”

Any contact with Mazzarri?

“No, absolutely not. Sometimes it happens that a technician contacts his predecessor, but this has not yet happened between us. If the occasion should arise, why not.”

The national team?

“I was thinking about it earlier, there was a possibility, but it was not my main intention, I evaluate the coming adventures then if one day should come the opportunity to sit on the blue bench, it will be an honor for me. Working at foreign clubs helps to open your mind, all Italians should experience that.”

Mihajlovic?

“I expected to see him at this level. He is a solid man, tough, a good person with lots of experience. I had no doubt about him.”

Who is more elegant of the two of us?

“At first, he dressed obscenely! Haha.”

Political Career?

“I never thought about a career like this and I am convinced that we now have the right people.”

Winning the Europa League?

”Maybe! It would be a joy and a great triumph, but it’s difficult.”
