Inter have rejected the inquiry of La Liga side Sevilla for the service of the Colombian midfielder Freddy Guarin, according to Sport Italia, Inter told Sevilla that Guarin is not for sale since the new Inter Coach Roberto Mancini considers him a vital part of the squad.
Guarin has made 15 appearances in the Nerazzurri shirt thus far this season, putting his name twice on the score sheet.

INTER rejected the bid because they only offered 8m.
Wait until summer to see how he performs under Mancini, if still not good enough, sell him above 12m.
i don’t know where he would fit in the formation , it’s either him or hernanes that has to go . i would think of he would be next to our dm in a 4-2-3-1 and work like a box to box type midfielder
in Mancini I trust
Maybe Mancini will make a player out of him, with Juve he had a horrible first half and then quite good the second one
Atleast we got Shaqiri.
uh oh… Guarin’s an expensive squad player-a luxury we can’t really afford.
Well, if he’s not going, someone else has to. Considering the fact that Inter are splashing the cash on Shaqiri and want to do the same with Lucas Leiva or Thiago Motta (reportedly, hopefully), Inter will need to cash in on someone. Considering that Krhin/Obi/Kuzmanovic aren’t marketable, it’s highly probable that we will be selling Hernanes sooner or later.
Too bad.
To sell Hernanes, only for keep inconsistent Guarin and buy wooden bench warmer Lucas Leiva is the stupidest idea that i can ever heard.
It is, but I think it’s gonna happen anyway.
I hope you’re wrong. After Shaqiri transfer who’s expensive for our financial situation, i hope that it will be last move for this winter. If we can get Motta for few millions ok, but i don’t see any need to buy mediocre players like Lucas Leiva, Diarra or Susic. Now our management have to concentrate on offloading mediocrity Jonathan, Campagnaro, Obi, Pereira, Schelotto, Botta, Nagatomo, even Kuzmanovic, Guarin and Ranocchia. Like someone sad this summer will have so many interesting free agents Schar, Konoplyanka, etc.
I hope I’m wrong too. 🙂
Agree with pretty much everything you’ve said.
lucas is not a bench warmer quality. he was one of pool’s best player before injury took him out for some time. but he is getting better lately. he also had to compete with many players for a spot in the middle yet still managed to get some good minutes on pitch. he has good passing and can battle for balls. he is a definite upgrade from kuzmanovic
In your opinion is upgrade un my is the same mediocrity. Upgrade is Shaqiri and that’s why he costs so much, we have for now Medel and M’Vila and i don’t think that Lucas Leiva will bring us someone much better to deserve the effort. My understanding is if you can’t bring quality better don’t do nothing, instead after wondering how to get rid of the mistakes (we have plenty examples Pereira, Schelotto, Jonathan, Belfodil, etc.) I my opinion even Taider is on almost the same level as Lucas.
i’m guessing you never see him play. he is not the superstar kind of player, i do agree. but if he can add another quality to the team then why not? mvilla was never wanted in the first place. remember how the deal took a long time to wrap because the previous coach wasn’t really impressed with him and we ended up still taking medel who played in the same position. and i wouldn’t even compare him to taider since both definitely are different. getting rid of those other players who degrade this team is a must. and we had to change them with people who can increase the quality of the team. and for me lucas fits the bill. especially if mancini really wanted him. mancini had already seen him played so he must know the quality of lucas. so that’s another reason to take him in. if mancini wants him then why not?
Just want to add a little bit more to the comment above.
I’m not fore or against signing Lucas Leiva, but before his injury and Brendan Rogers(I don’t think he fits the current liverpool tactics), he’s one of epl top 3 DM, not my opinion but according to stats. His work rate, tackles, interception and pass succession rate was all within top 3 if not the best in epl. I can’t find the article with the stats anymore, but whoscored gave him an average of above 7.2 each season from 2009 to 2013, none of our current DM had a rating better except Medel during the WC and that’s only for 1 tournament. Both Zanetti and Cambiasso have an average rating of 7.21 for 09-10 Serie A season and we all know what season is that.
He’s definitely not pretty to watch, but if you’re talking about DEFENSIVE midfield, then he’s definitely not mediocre.
I think Icardi or Handa will leave if we cannot get to CL. Mancio dont like too static forward like Icardi, while Handa ignored contract extension (which expires in 2016)
