We have a terrible defense and yet we continue to buy attackers (not that we dont need those too, just saying). This guy (Il Giraffe) was suppose to be the future of Italian football, I think many of you will agree with me that he didn’t live up to the expectations.
What puzzles me is _why_ is he still in the squad? And even more, why on earth is he the captain? A captain needs to be a person of integrity, and person who is always talking to the ref when decisions go against the team, but never pushes too hard to get booked. Also, a representable person, something Andrea is not, by far.
The bigger issue is that we don’t really have anyone to give the captaincy to… all the people currently in the squad are nice and mellow during games… Anyone else noticed that during the Juventus game almost every foul ended in immediate handshake and smiles…. that wasn’t a derby if you ask me. Where is the tension from previous years? The adrenaline?! Players like Materazzi (not for his football skills obviously), Cordoba, Samuel, Lucio, Motta, Zlatan… you get my point, players that instilled a bit of fear in their opponents. Inter doesn’t have those kind of players at the moment. You can be the nicest person in the world, but you need that competitive animal inside you on the field. I don’t see that kind of person in Inter at the moment. Maybe it’s just me.

(2) A decent striker. Icardi is a lazy striker. He is not a modern striker. In 4-2-3-1 formation, we need a central forward who can hold the ball and giving a space for team-mates. Icardi cannot do it, and I think he is not want to do it. Sell him.
(3) A good holding midfielders. Medel sucks as well as Guarin and Kuz. We need two holding who can pass and steal the ball. Kind Chucu and Thiago Motta.
