While Inter are working hard to find the final reinforcements to Mancini’s squad before the window closes (and Micah Richards could be a new objective), plans are also being made for next season. The editorial staff at Sportmediaset confirm that the path to Yaya Touré, Manchester City’s Ivorian midfielder, seems more and more credible. According to sources close to Roberto Mancini, the Inter coach has already convinced Touré to make the move to Italy at the end of the season. Not even the player’s wages should be a problem as the former Barcelona player has agreed to settle for half his current wages plus bonuses, in exchange for getting a contract until 2019. The only remaining hurdle is to convince Thohir, who will stay in Italy until the end of the transfer window.

How we gonna attract big players playing in EL? Forget about CL next season. Mancini has made a big mess of things by making too many changes. New system and new players. You can’t do that in the middle of the season. It’s not preseason. It will take time for the players to learn the new system and new players to gel with the squad. Meantime Lazio and Napoli are dissappearing from our sight in the race. Some of these new players aren’t even match fit. Bad mistake to fire Mazzari in the middle of season. We would have had better chances to reach CL with Mazzari, all he needed was some decent wing-backs and they gave him Jonathan and Dodô.
and don’t really worry about the money, if we get Yaya, the money will come from more attendance, more jersey sold, sponsorship etc
We are gonna lose Pogba and Inter get Toure. I guess Ausilio and Mancini are better than I thought.
I don’t belive this for a second, Yaya will never cut his wages. He cries every year that he is treated badly by the club, just so he can get a paycheck raise. He is getting old and i doubt he will settle for half his sallary, when PSG are willing to raise what he already gets. Would be a dream come true to get such a high caliber player, but i just can’t see this happening.
Lol, half of Toure’s wages is still 6.5 mil/year. That doesn’t make it any more credible than it was when this was first mentioned.
I won’t believe it until I see Toure landing at Malpensa with an Inter scarf around his neck.
I see on transfermarkt that Yaya has contract until 2017. How the hell the Club is going to buy him out? Icardi is already on way out?
Think Icardi could be going no matter if Yaya is coming or not. But Hernanes leaving makes sense to me.
who wants Hernanes ? even at Yaya Toure half wage it still 6,5 Million doesnt include bonus. Then we also have to pay for his transfer fee which at least reach 10 million (his value on transfrmarkt is 26 Million). Will City give one of their most consistent player that easily ? He is still a regular peformer at City. Would Yaya Sacrifice huge Wage at end of his Carreer ? Would Yaya Sacrifice playing in Champions League for Inter ?
This transfer is harder than Shaqiri, and even harder because we already got shaqiri & brozovic. 15 & 8 Millions Euro, still need to be paid for their previous club.
I definitely agree that Yaya to Inter is impossible mate, I’m just saying what would be the possible scenario in Ausilio’s head if they decide to make an attempt.
I think we’ll try to sell Hernanes if he doesn’t show signs of “life” before the end of this season, because he’s been a major disappointment if we take his price in consideration.
Yaya probably has said to Mancini that he’d like to join up with him (this perhaps also involved a “if you enter the CL” part that the media decided to leave out), but the financial part isn’t Mancini’s job. Mancini is yet to convince Thohir to try and make a bid.
It’s not happening, I think we should be happy with Kovacic/Brozovic/Medel and at least one of Hernanes/Guarin right now, try to get another destroyer (Lassana, I guess) and see what capacity we have at disposal next summer in terms of finances before we think up ideas about players like Yaya Toure.
damn! He can show guarin and hernanes how to get things done!
And he definetely could give some tips to kova.
This is almost as good as the shaqiri news. It’ll be just as good if it turns out true.
It’s probably even better than the Shaqiri news, but it’s much harder to believe 🙂
yeah! very good news!
Even tho he is 31 but he is perfect ! I’d be very very very happy if we bought him
African players seem to be able to play at a high level at older ages anyway haha. I’m down for this move
don’t care his age, Im happy to featured him as our player in next season rooster
Wow wow wow.
Fancy! Incredible!
What can i say. If this happen, then Inter will change gear.
In my opinion: we need experience player in the midfield. He is also a leader and a star player. Guaro or Hernanes will be sacrificed if he comes. But we absolutely need Yaya’s quality in midfield. Yeah he is old, but he is still strong and could maintain his strength and stamina at high level. I know this not fit youthful project of Thohir, BUT this move will raise shirt sale on Africa!!! So absolutely Yes. Forza Thohir 🙂
Buy Danilo “Porto” first…
He is amazing, but isn’t even half of his wages almost double of our highest paid?
I think we really need to qualify for the Champions League if we are talking about bringing in these kinds of player. Marco Reus also has a reasonable release clause
we can’t afford a player like reus.
how can we compete with real madrid, munchen or chelsea.
i’ll better to save our time and get another player
agree, we don’t have much money
We need to remember that he will be 32 shortly and he wants a contract till 2019.. That’s a long time to Pay his wage (which will still be hefte for our standards) if he doesnt keep on performing.. But, i like him too!
he is the engine of Man City at the age of 32, at a way, way faster and more physical league compared to the italian, so i guess he can do well at Serie A for 3-4 more years
I hope you are right, if he does come.
let’s get him first, then we’ll have time to decide if he’s any good 😀
pinch me…
holy crap.
thats the dream
our team will be a monster in europe
but i doubt his gonna came to our club, this mean his gonna downgrade his level
Make this happen. Inter need a “star-player”, someone with a name that is recognised all over the world. A true leader…
If that happens we will be able to buy more players who deserve to wear our shirt!
Yaya toure giving our mid lessons on how to play the beautiful game is too awesome
