Mauro Icardi scored twice yesterday in the awesome win over a strong side in Palermo that came to San Siro playing to win only to get punished by the Nerazzurri with 3 goals past their net, but for Icardi it wasn’t only a win, as in the stands there were observers from the English Premier League giants Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool who are now keeping tabs on the form of the Argentine, with a view to a possible Summer switch.
According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the contract renewal negotiations between the club and the player had stalled after talks in January in addition to the altercation with fans in the Sassuolo game may have convinced the Argentine to leave, especially that he didn’t celebrate his brace yesterday nor did he go to the supporters after the game to applaud the result.

I don’t want him to leave, I love his controversial-goal-scoring self..

Icardi’s current contract runs until 2016.
Icardi is a great young striker but his Osvaldo like attitude makes him high maintenance. We should let him go with a good offer. (40m)
The only problem is Inter MUST renew his contact; otherwise the sling price would be 15-20m lower.
You’re in a huge mistake, Icardi’s contract expires 30 June 2018.
I hope what you say is right. Can you direct me to a reference?

He’s 21 years old and has “attitude”. Very moody, sometime he’s happy and now he’s not. But im preety sure he will be happy again eventually. Especially if the squad morale is good, winning streak, etc….
he is unhappy because he the fans are not supporting him…

Stupid Inter management must keep Icardi by all cost. He is the new Batistuta. Scoring 13 goals so far by a 21-year old kid for a team, who has many bad players, is not an usual thing. Even though Inter’s midfielders lack of passing ability to strikers, Icardi is in the second position in top scorers. He has more than 10 years of top-form career and he can become a goal scoring machine. He loves Inter, but he does not love stupid fans! J.Zanetti should do something to keep this kid. He is our future!!!
It’s absolutely true that we should keep the guy, but the point is that it will probably be impossible due to the fact that CL qualification has become impossible and we’ve got a bunch of players to pay off this coming summer (he’s one of the rare players that we can sell for serious money). The team’s bad performances (for various reasons) will end up costing us such a great player. It’s a pity, but he’s probably lost.

He just wants the fans to apologise I guess, and they should… Icardi has a bright future and has already proven himself with inter… We should do everything to keep him

its obvious….he didnt even celebrate after the 2 goals….sell him for 40 mil and bring us jovetic or jackson martinez

knew this gonna happen. well… It has to be at least 30mil !
By not celebrating he basically sent out a message to the fans saying “you owe me an apology” and also one to the scouts saying “come and get me (I come for a lower price now).
Gonna miss you, Maurito.
He is still signed till June 2018 as far as i know so his price should stay high
Makes a bit of a difference when it’s plain to see that he wants to go and the club have to sell him, though.
We don’t know that he wants to leave and it is well known that he is a bit of drama queen. I believe everything will end up okay. However, if he leaves we can rack up at least 35mil because of the remaining time on his contract and his goal scoring form.
I agree that he’s a drama queen. I don’t know what to expect as far as the offers are concerned.
But I think the willingness to leave (or to simply not care/accept to leave) is there, considering the fact that they’ve been unable to reach an agreement regarding the extension, as well as the friction with the fans on top of that. Also, there’s the fact that we will probably have to sell him because the club will need money, and the most can be made out of him (and Handanovic). So it depends on whether we manage to pick ourselves up and actually start winning for a prolonged period of time.
There’s still time until the summer, lets wait and see.

I’ll prefer hundred times if we need cash, because of missing Champions League to make it from Handanovic (expiring contact after one year and he refuses to renew), then Ranocchia, Guarin and Kuzmanovic instead selling Icardi.
who said he wants to go? He loves Inter. but hes just upset with the supporters

that is great news. i thought he had a contract only until 2016.
He’ll come around. He lives to be admired, and I can understand why he feels he’s been mistreated. But it’ll pass, I’m sure.
