Danilo D’Ambrosio was interviewed by Inter Channel after the win, here is what he had to say:
“It was not easy coming back after injury, they were fast on the wings but we did well as always when it came to playing our game. It went well. The mister asks all of us to be available and we are repaying his confidence. Me and Santon are friends more than teammates. He is a great guy and I knew him from before. This is a competition that I am very happy to be in, I was close to scoring but the important thing is that the team wins. I was sidelined with an injury, the second one this year. They need to hold me back because I always want to go faster (and return faster after injury) but the doctors make me slow down which is right. We are a united group here.”
And what about the adversary Celtic?
“Mackay-Stevens was not easy to defend against but then he understood there was no chance tonight.”

D’ambrosio has given us a lot of mixed displays, but I think despite his performance tonight, he is our second best full back + he just came back from inury so I can’t blame him for sucking

Not a great display by D’Ambrosio. Hope he gets better again when a full recovery from injury is done.

Yes, ofcourse, I even said on a few articles back that D’Ambrosio in a wheelchair is better than Campagnaro.
but we stiil can not blame campagnaro, because he is there just to cover fb position despite his standard position is cb, and we can see that he is trying realy hard
Actually, he spent a lot of his career playing as a RB back in Napoli if I remember correctly.

Thats the problem. It’s not out of position. RB is his secondary position, played quite a few times there.

And in my opinion he’s much better as a right back. Same for Santon, but i think that Santon is doing better as a left back. Anyway despite D’Ambrosio and Santon abilities to playing on the left and despite having Dodo, i believe that we have to seriously looking for left back preferably with left leg.
Yeah I don’t know why Mancini used Santon on the right and D’Ambrosio on the left, when they have both been showing best results in switched positions, so D’Ambrosio on the left and Santon on the right. Probably he wanted Santon next to Ranocchia or something.

I think he and Santon are still the best combination we’ve got, despite the fact that his performance today wasn’t impressive, I’d still take him over Campagnaro and probably Nagatomo and Dodo on most days.
Ofcourse. Campagnaro is too slow, Nagatomo and Dodo have speed but can’t defend. Santon as LB and D’Ambrosio as RB is our best setup currently.
Aye, though I’d still like to see someone else as a starter next season, Darmian most of all. I’d also be okay with Vrsaljko, get rid of Jonathan (contract expires anyway) and Campagnaro (same).
Yeah. I like Santon, but D’Ambrosio is still a liability. Like you said, Vrsaljko or Darmian would be great. But I think we will have a hard time getting someone in the summer, considering we will have to pay of Santon, Shaqiri and Brozović.
I honestly don’t know what to expect anymore. Reading “Icardi and Kovacic are the future of Inter (meaning Icardi stays)”; Lavezzi’s agent in Milano, meeting with Inter; Toure to sign for Inter this summer…
I give up on trying to predict this summer’s mercato, I think it’s impossible anyway because we still know nothing about our financial situation; it depends on how we finish the season on the pitch and on whether we get punished for violating FFP.
