He is not experiencing his best moment since he came to Inter, but Mateo Kovacic will not let that break him down, quite the opposite. He has every intention of listening to Roberto Mancini to try to earn his total confidence and a given place in Nerazzurri’s starting eleven. The Croatian gave an exclusive interview to Sky Sport in which he talked about his team and his personal situation: “Many players play bad matches or make mistakes or don’t play well, but in Italy it is so critical. I don’t think about it. New players have arrived but the Competition is good and it can only help. The words of Mancini? I don’t think any team can build on one player, in football the team counts, not the individual. I have a good relationship with Mancini, like all the other players.”
Inter’s number 10 then talked about the new role he has had this season: “I don’t give weight to the goals that I score, I look more than anything on the season in general, thinking of the team. In this regard, I would say that we haven’t done as well as we wanted, but now there are still three months to do better. Unusual to score so little for a midfielder of my characteristics? With Stramaccioni I played more behind, now I play further up on the pitch, and that’s why the goals have arrived.”

inters biggest mistake is to give him number 10…we all know what number 10 is,and who is number 10 in italian clubs..best player,someone who can make difference in every match..and put all that on some kid back is so sick…we put so much pressure on a boy…we want a boy to bring back grande inter…big big mistake…im yust affraid that he will brake
We need a big game from kovacic against a big club,sunday is a perfect day for our nr 10 to prove the non believers that they absolutely misjudged him!!(including myself)
Something really negative about Kovacic is that when you bench him he loses confidence and rythm instead of gettin motivated….I hope we dont sell him and be patient with him….mancini needs to find a way to play shaqiri and kova
it is extremely rare to see a player with such quality, that coaches keep throwing him around different positions in the field and does not complain or show signs of discomfort whatsoever. By far one of the most mature Young talent I have seen!!
