Apart from Yaya Touré, there is another player on which the Nerazzurri are always active: Stevan Jovetic. The updates come from Gianluca Di Marzio: “Regarding the Manchester City attacker there has been more than two months of the interest from Inter, I have already talked about that. The contacts between Inter and the talent from Montenegro’s club are constant, a negotiation continues in small steps: with the entourage of the player talks have been fruitful, it remains to convince Manchester City.”
“The main problem with a possible deal is related to the formula, with Inter pushing for a loan with the right of redemption while City would want to sell the player outright. A possible solution could be a loan with obligatory redemption, but the clubs must of course find an understanding regarding the total cost. With Inter, which is focusing on the will of Jovetic – for whom even Juventus are making moves – to return to Italy: the agent of the former Fiorentina player, Ramadani, is pressing, the Serie A is the desired goal for Jovetic. Inter still remain at the window.”

ok guys, let me burst your bubble and tell you how inter approaches the summer mercato with self-financing “hello, this is Ausilio from Inter, do you have any spare deadweight bench guys with overpaid salaries that you want to get offf your books? if yes we are offering loan deals with an option to buy but they have to be a minimum of 2 years…..anyone available ?? 🙂
10 milion.. oke
City will easily be convinced, the question is whether we will have the best offer.
And what Inter4Ever has written holds true – he’s a liability in terms of fitness, I hope Mancio has take that into consideration. But he’s a good player, very good in fact.
As always i have different vision. I don’t think that we have to allow the coach to insist on specific names. He’s job must be to require how many players and in which positions he needs. Ausilio and management staff is to propose few names for every position from wich he can make his choice.
I understand your point mate; the truth is that neither the coach nor the sports director should be able to pick the names on his own. It has to be within the financial parameters and the relationship with the seller that the sports director has; it also depends on the specific characteristics that the coach wants to add to his team through a new acquisition. The sports director normally cannot go into so much detail as far as football knowledge is concerned, so this has to be set out by the coach.
They have to work together as much as possible, simple as that 🙂
It’s usually a list of 7-8 names from the main targets to Minimum target for each position. The director(ausilio) does his best to get the top targets and if that’s not possible the director than might suggest a player within the same level of quality. And if that did not work out, only then the director choses the minimum target that the coach has suggested (7th or 8th place in the list). At least that’s what i understood coaches have done in the Italian league.
I have a bad feeling about jovetic… all his hype is over nostalgia – now he has lots of physical problems
Robben used to always get injured in Madrid but bayern found a medical solution to his consistent injuries, not quite sure if it was from bayern medical staf or they outsourced a medical assistance elsewhere. However, if inter is going to bring him in I guess they have to find a solution to his ongoing injuries.
True… but iI don’t think Inter will bring a medical solution that man city haven’t tried
Not necessarily, it depends, it’s not always about money when it comes to these things.
But his proneness to injuries is a danger from this point of view.
City are also demanding we out-right buy him… I’d rather we spend 20 mil for someone else
Perhaps, but he’s not our only target; Mancio is reportedly also considering Konoplyanka, Ayew, Milner and some others too..
I think that Jovetic can be lured out on loan from City (with an option to buy) if we don’t face any serious competition – the only team that comes to mind right now is Juventus, who seem to be serious about Dybala (but they might lose out so…)
Lets wait and see, the fact that we’ve been under a mercato tempo since January and will continue to be so until the end of this summer tires me out, I’m not taking anything seriously anymore.
We talk about fighting for the Scudetto next season and we can’t qualify for the EL this season – which means we’ll probably have to sell some of our best players.
And on the other hand, GDS says Mancio wants to sell Kovacic (age 20) and get Yaya Toure with the money (age 31) – Yaya is good but fuck logic.
In footballitalia there was an article that mancini stated there looking at konoplyanka and Milner. They will be both free so I predict we might get both or at least one of them.
mancini stated in the same article that he likes darmian and it was gazetta I think that predicted inter will sell half of benassi to fund money for the right back. The other concidence that puts hope in acquiring this player is that fassone just stated that ausilio would deal with co-owned players (possibly benassi) to buy players mancini wants (darmian).
Ayew’s free too, reportedly his father (who is his agent) was in Italy to have an informal talk with Inter’s representatives.
As for Darmian, I know Mancini has his eyes on him (we wanted Darmian in January), and I like the boy, he could be good, but it depends on the money we’ll have to pay.
Lol. It’s true the rumors have been spreading like wildfire since january, but the whole selling kova thing is just stupid… the media are making up stories because mancio has been benching kova. And as far as fighting for scudetto goes… mancio can’t win a title without a whole team of world class players… he just can’t, but he can attract some big names. So that’s good
That’s how you attract big names by handling the media in stating that inter will compete for the title. It’s just a method of getting quality player which inter deeply needs.
Just read on GDS that apparently we’ve somehow pulled 60 million euro out of our asses and are willing to spend it on Toure… :S
Yeah, it’s an injection from Thohir; I don’t think all of it can go on Toure. Think it will be used preferrably for Toure, Jovetic/Ayew/Konoplyanka and Darmian for starters.
Let’s see if we can actually get them.
