AS Romas coach Rudi Garcia spoke to the press after todays defeat against Inter at the Giuseppe Meazza. “I think a draw would’ve been a more logical result, but we know that at this level a single incident can be deciding a match. In the first half Ibarbo had a shot that hit the post and in the second half we started to play more like Roma. We equalized, pushed for a second goal but ended up conceding a goal instead.”

I have nothing to complain about when comes to attitude and desire to win the match in the second half from my players. We don’t have time to complain as we have another game coming up on Wednesday. I don’t think that the problem tonight wasn our strikers, it was more playing from the back then our strikers. We made too many mistakes and we were unlucky on Ibarbo’s chance. We need to be more efficient in front of goal too, as we had the chances to score a second and win the game.

It was an even game. Podolski’s through ball got a deflection off De Rossi and ended up being perfect for Icardi who scored on that. But the team showed good quality and this was a big step up from our last game against Atalanta. It was a good performance and the lads must keep their heads up as we have another game in four days. We must play with the same attitude, but with more efficiency in attack and defence.
