Inter came away with all 3 points in their outing at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome after having beaten Lazio 1-2 following a brace from Hernanes, first eclipsing Lazio’s lead after a goal from Candreva and then getting the winner int he 84th minute.

Samir Handanovic – 7: Made a few important saves, especially when faced 1 v 1 with Klose & in the first half when Lazio counter-attacked. World class.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 5,5: Put in a hard shift of work up & down the flank. Crosses were slightly better today but can’t seem to perform consistently for 90 mins.

Andrea Ranocchia – 6,5: Had a very good game, especially in the first 45 where he pulled off a fantastic diving header save to prevent Lazio from scoring.

Nemanja Vidic – 6,5: Is looking more & more like the Nemanja Vidic of old. Cleared the most balls out of all Inter players & led by example.

Juan Jesus – 6: Looks more & more mature & comfortable on the left flank. Hard as nails & with a never-say-die attitude which is important.

Fredy Guarin – 6: Had to be brought off at half-time after he pulled a muscle following his curling free-kick which was brilliantly saved by Marchetti, but looked sluggish & tired before that.

Gary Medel – 6,5: Battles on in the middle of the pitch sarificing himself defensively for the team. Gave away a few unnecessary free-kicks.

Mateo Kovacic – 7,5: This is the Mateo Kovacic we want to see. Looked comfortable on the pitch & linked up brilliantly with other midfielders.

Hernanes – 8: Tonight’s Man of The Match. Looked absolutely brilliant apart from the 2 goals he scored. His passing, craft & vision was magical.

Rodrigo Palacio – 6: Has definitely recovered from his injury in that his movement is back to being top drawer. His backheel pass to Hernanes was sublime.

Mauro Icardi – 5: Didn’t have a good game. Absolutely squandered a sitter in the 1st half & followed it up by kicking an awful penalty kick in the 2nd.

Lukas Podolski – 5: Came on at half-time for the injured Guarin & provided decent crosses with his left foot but his shooting & finishing was woeful.

Yuto Nagatomo – 5,5: Was brought on for D’Ambrosio in the 67th min & immediately gave away an unnecessary corner. Looked rusty & tired.

Marcelo Brozovic – : Came on in the 91st minute for Palacio. Didn’t play long enough to be able to be graded.

Roberto Mancini – 6,5: Has been able to instill a hard work ethic at Inter where the team battles back even when down by a goal. Got tactics spot-on today.

Inter’s performance – 6,5: Winning against a Lazio that has only lost one other Serie A fixture since New Year is impressive. To come back from a goal down and away in Rome and win is even more impressive but the mark is mitigated by the 2 red cards which stopped Lazio from being able to mount a serious challenge.

Davide Massa – 3: Destroyed the match by making one incorrect decision after another. Incredibly picky & ruined the rhythm of the match by constantly blowing his whistle.
