Reports coming from England have said Stoke City coach Mark Hughes is sure he can convince Inter playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri to join the Premier League side.
The ‘Uttoxeter Advertiser’ believes the Potters will present its ambitious project to the Swiss player, which aims for qualification to the Champions League and will guarantee the player regular playing time along with high wages.
The leadership of Stoke are also convinced that the style of football that Hughes plays would be well suited to the characteristics of Shaqiri.

Author’s Note: Do you think Xherdan Shaqiri will be fooled into thinking that Stoke City can qualify for the Champions League?

This rumour is wrong/stupid on so many levels it makes me laugh. I saw a funny pic of Shaq and it said: ” It has always been my dream to play alongside with N’zonzi and Charlie Adam” hahahaha
people dont understand the Mercato … Inter do not intend to sell Shaqiri, they need to sell non-euro players to be able to bring others …its simple
Please keep Shaqiri.
With the project we’re making and mancini sweet talking everyone, I think no one wants to leave
Lmao Stoke City make the Champions League? I’d be shocked if they made the Europa league.
We only need one winger, why two, we have Palacio like that as well and we only competing in Serie A. So keep Xherdan and buy another winger and give the guy a break because like Bayern we will regret it as well, and he for sure not going to some shitty club like Stoke. He could have just stayed at Basel in that case, don’t u think ?
In my opinion there are no untouchables in Inter. Everyone can be sold for good money. We do not have star players (only Icardi is star).
You forgot Kovacic?
No. Kovacic has potential but he is not star player yet. He cannot make difference on the pitch nor change game in our favour alone with his class. He needs time. I would let him for 30-40 mil. I am afraid that he will not succeed in Inter. Look at Coutinho. He is not our mistake. If he stayed with us, he would never reach his top. Inter has problem to develop player. We always have talents but fail miserably to develop them into real stars.
So it’s not better to solve our old problemo than continuing selling our assets blindly? and I disagree about him that is not a star yet, I believe he is an star already and he is going to be even bigger one than what he is at the moment
Kovacic is not on star level yet. He has the potential but right now our star player is only Icardi and possibly Handa
But he is a glowing one without doubt! How could Icardi become a star if Mancini did not treat him properly and would kept him on the bench? How much Kova got just comparing to Icardi’s?
Totally agree. I totally not understand why always like to talk about player’s potential when a team can’t even get into the champion league for years. look around other teams this summer, next season must not easy . Something must need to be change when a team like inter ranking out of 6 last season. Moreover beside kova , Icardi and Kondogbia I can’t see anyone has the potential be star players
Hey Mark go home you are drunk
this is
Uttoxeter Advertiser……massive LOL
I’d lose my mind if we sold him. He’s one of our best players
the only thing to believes coming from england is the “high wages” shaq could get. now speaking about qualify for CL? that’s preposterous! 🙂
He wouldn’t have to worry about that. 1 Season has passed, he can move to another big team like Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea, etc.
That’s why if we’re going to sell him, sell him with Kovacic’s price tag.
we should keep him, and get him in shape. after all we need a player in this position. if he performs, his value would increase, and then we could sell him. £12 mln is a throw away for this kind of potential….
Fuck off
with salah-perisic come..inter will be more competitive..XS91 should stay IMO..
XS91…… Sounds like aircraft number or maybe deadly mass destruction weapon IMO..
Would be unprofessional to let him go after only 6 months. Atleast give him a pre-season and 1 more year to prove himself, I belive in him.
As I expected, Mancini confirmed his stay in today’s press conference
There has been speculation about departures from Appiano Gentile too, and Mancini fielded a number of questions about potential goodbyes: “Kovacic is an Inter player and we have a lot of faith in him. We have to move some players on – if we’re being asked about Santon and Shaqiri that’s because they’re good players. I think they’ll do even better than last season because they’ll be with their team-mates from the word go.”
