At the beginning of this summer’s transfer window he seemed to be set for a farewell to Milan and it looked as if Premier League would become his new league. Liverpool were supposedly very interested, with the aim of replicating the successful operation of a few seasons ago, when Philippe Coutinho left Inter to land at ‘Anfield’. A scenario that now seems stored, as Mateo Kovacic will remain under the command of Roberto Mancini.
This was confirmed by Kovacic’s agent Nikky Vuksan, who exclusively to FcInterNews explained: “Mateo is very happy at Inter and will not leave. That’s for sure. We have renewed the contract with the club a short time ago (the new deadline is 2019, ed.), and therefore there is nothing to add. The first outings in the new role went well, I’m happy for him.”
He closed by commenting on the rumors that there was a strong interest from Real Madrid first and then Barcelona and Liverpool: “Those are only rumors. Mere rumors spread by various media. There is no truth, Mateo remains at Inter.”

Mateo’s transfer was stalled thanks to the fans, and Inter’s management listened to the fans… like they did for Guarin-Vuccinic swap.
Mateo is a true gem, and I hope he seize his opportunity of playing alongside two physical beasts and ball winners (Kondo and Medel).
actualy it’s nothing to do with the fan.. mancini, aussilio, and thohir already said so many times that they want to built dhe team around icardi and kova.. but sadly our fans didn’t pay attention to it.. instead they believe in that stupid rumour that create by the source that rarely been accurate like tutoshit, dailymail, etc… i hope from this experience they can learn that not to overreacting to some stupid rumours, unless they want to look like idiot…
It wasn’t only yellow media sources, there were many sources saying so, even Mateo agreed personal terms with Liverpool. I think it was really close, but either way it was a good move by fans to show the management how much Mateo means to them.
