According to Tuttosport, the president has soon fulfilled the requests of coach Roberto Mancini and will now await results on the pitch. “The players who were specially requested by the head coach have arrived and, with Ivan Perisic pulling on the black and blue shirt in the next few days, there should be very few additions needed to complete the squad. A wing-back will surely be needed (unless Mancini trusts young Federico Dimarco to provide cover in the role) and probably another striker, and then there is the need to slim down a rapidly growing squad”, the article concludes.

Dear Mr. Tohir: We don’t need wingbacks, what we actually need is offloading some wingbacks!! Since JJ can play left back, and Santon and D’Ambro could play on both sides, 5 would be enough: Montoya, D’Ambrosio, Santon, and Di Marco + JJ
prob is only one who is 1st team material is Montoya. Next in line is Dodo and Santon who are poor defensively. Dambrosio is a backup. Juan Jesus has no job being even close to the 1st team, if you’re gonna play a fullback who gets beat for pace he better have good technique and defensive ability.. someone like Chivu. (or that loser Favalli)

Did you watch Inter?… Juan stabilized the defense when he played leftback. He is without a doubt our best fullback defensively.
I watched Juan get beat for face, clumsy in the tacke and just generally awful as a LB, nothing on the offensive phase and very very avergae in defense.
I think you should rewatch the last third of last season, Juan playing leftback actually made us look like we had a some kind of defense.
No he is not perfect, and playing a new position it is only normal for him to be out of position sometime, but he is without a doubt our best fullback defensively. He is not good going forward,but he don’t have to be when our other fullbacks can’t defend.
At least we need players like fabio grosso, balance both offense and deffense..

An average player but we need someone average. Dambrosio can be a backuo but should not be near the starting 11. Santon and nagatomk ciao. I think dodo has potential and he did resolve some games for us last season. As it stands our starting fullbacks should be dodo and montoya. I wouldnt mind us picking ul good ol Maxwell if we can get him for cheap. If ibra lleaves maxwell will want out of psg and I dont see him going to mls or joining ibra at bbilan is he goes there

haha I saw dodo get his ass kicked consistently this season, kid has heart. yes his defending is poor but he has room to grow. his defending on the same level as naga and santon. I wanna see santon leave because he’s a bilanista and he will bring us cash. I dislike shaq because he has 0 iq. I love Palacio because he is a smart player and helps out in defense. argentines get better with age. palacio has had a scorching preseason. last season he was nursing and injury… palacio slow? ate you watching the game. fact is every tactitian supports my stance, Palacio covers a lot of cracks in the team with his constant running.
I watched Shaq made one good play in each of the 3 serie A games he played before getting benched because he was figured out. poor touch, bad brain and doesn’t help the team.

A little backgroung: My uncle is president of the official Inter Fan Club in NYC, I never have an excuse not to watch a match! I’ve been to Florence multiple times and I’ve taken classes there at Coverciano over the past 2 summers. Still deciding if I wanna take the plunge and do a full curriculum and get the coaching licenses. Would be a big switch of careers for me. I’m currently a lawyer but hey if Sacchi can do it…
Oh and if we do keep Shaqiri, I think he should be used in a Roberto Carlos like role. He has almost the same characteristics and would excel is he had less pressure/ more time to operate.

Of course he got torched dude….He was against Douglas Costa. A primavera player with almost no experience in serie A games against a player of Douglas Costa calibre.
Yeah, he mostly looked terrified. He wasn’t even attempting tackles the entire game for the most part, just trying to contain really, and you could tell the thought running through his mind was “please just let me get out of this without any spectacular f***-ups that will land me on the news.”
I’d say he succeeded in that, but ultimately if you’re not winning the ball back as a defender then you’re not doing your job. If Mancio refuses to play Santon, then we really do desperately need another wing-back. Dimarco would be a giant hole in this team were he to start.
So yeah… solid wing-back first, then one more forward, and we’re done.
For wing back position, Montoya is a guarantee on the right side. While Santon is good at both sides but more dangerous on the left side considering his cut-inside ability. The problem is Mancini hasn’t given this dude a lot of playing time. At the end of the last season, Mancini said that Santon had a fitness issue. But I totally disagree if Mancini played JJ/D’Ambro/or even DiMArco instead of Santon. Santon, instead of his a-little bit-sloppy defense (but all our defenders are like that, huh), offers more creativity, pace and accurate crosses than our other wing-backs

I didn’t say he sucks. I just said he’s not very good. Whether or not you admit it, He’ll be a liability on defense if it’s one of our starting wingbacks. I’m a big fan of our youngsters especially Gnoukouri but DiMarco had an awful showing. If he ends up as a backup, that would be fine.

He has talent, definitely better than M’Baye.. As I said since all other options are not great at defending, there is no reason holding Di Marco back for starting. With some consistency, and also the cover that Kondogbia offers him as a left center Midfielder, he’ll flourish.

I can’t get over Moratti at the first time i know he would sell the club to ET because for me Moratti were Inter and Inter were Moratti’s family and this family has done a lot for the club, Moratti like a father to all players. I clearly remember how fans think it’s better sell the club to some sheikh or oil billionaire and have doubts on ET’s capability to spend cash.
But then time proves that Moratti didn’t handed the club to the wrong hand. ET has showed integrity, calmness of Southeast Asian people and professionalism like he came from modern country, the fact he came from Indonesia (country that many people know Indonesia is in Bali). I have no regret but admire how he keep his words.
Hope he can spend more quality time with the squad like Moratti used to do so the players and us will always have a feeling that the club is home and family.

am amazed by how he built the inner circle of a professional modern football club by recruiting those big names with good portfolios. Billingbroke and others have done a good jobs so far. plus that sacking branca and pointed ausilio turned out to be a new turf of a smart mercato moves for us.
settling a mount of debts i not an easy task to deal with but so far we could breath easily without having our finger stretching our collars at all.
and along with those achievements from back of the office desk, there’s a lot of improvement ( just read this from one of Sempreinter’s article ) from our training ground, gym and else) seems like ET doesn’t think twice and there’s no doubt in his first sentence about stating out his love for this inter at all.

It was for the best. Moratti and Inter maybe inseparable, but with how unsettle the economic was, ET is the right choice. Background checks confirm his credibility with other assets around the world. It is the right time FC Inter too have to be a global brand once again. An itchy-finger owner might not be able to do that!
