Tuttosport writes today that Inter captain Andrea Ranocchia is still on the Roma radar. They explain the situation: “The Inter captain is one of several central defenders followed by the giallorossi. But the asking fee of 15 million euro is considered to be too high by Roma.” The situation remains in standby.

He he so now everyone loves Ranno and doesn’t want to let him go! If we get 15 m we could go for Criscito for left and keep JJ as a back up for Miranda OR go for the dude from Monaco that wants to leave Adbannour or what he’s called! We need to tighten up the defense and Ranno is not the man yo do so, plus playing high pressing football with a high defensive line will kill him because he’s too slow, but JJ at least is super quick!
After last night’s game against AC Milan I don’t want to sell Ranocchia anymore. Miranda and Murillo looked weak and clumsy against Bacca. I think we need Rano just in case because having Juan Jesus as the only alternative is scary.
Bacca’s biggest thread is is acceleration, stamina, and overall speed. Those traits fit Rano the worst because he is the slowest of all our defenders.
That’s true, but I was talking about the general fact that maybe Miranda and Murillo are not as indestructible as we thought before and it would be nice to have a backup if one of them starts to fail badly. Don’t forget that JJ was also very promising and solid at the start, he was even the starting defender of the Brazil NT alongside Thiago Silva, but started to go downhill after that.

Ranocchia is the only player at Inter who had more Inter experience than others. If he has a good defensive pair, Inter’s overall defense will be comparable to Juve’s and Napoli’s defense. Since Miranda and Murillo came, we will see no more Vidic and JJ in central defense, which is good. Indeed, Vidic and JJ were disastrous than Ranocchia last season. Ranocchia-Miranda/Murillo will be just good.
