Gigi Simoni is not too upset about the imminent departure of Mateo Kovacic and explains his point of view to the Gazzetta dello Sport: “Mateo is a technically skilled player, but he has never been able to play well with continuity. It’s not as if Inter are selling someone who scores 10 goals and makes 20 assists every season..”.

Basically..Mancini has chosen Kondogbia over Kovacic. 35 mil for 35 mil…if he felt that Kovacic was really important he would’nt have bought Kondogbia because like he just stated..inter have no money. So one unproven player over another unproven player. Let’s see how it works. Personally, from previous experience.. I do not trust Mancini at all..but we’ll see who got it right once the season is over. Third place is a must.. anything else and he should be gone. We should give Mancini a chance..but only for one year, he got to do whatever he wanted, now it’s time for results. We have been in transition for the past 3-4 years, enough is enough. We are Inter.. not Sassuolo.
Italian comment. Always impatient with something. Hope it wont’ be backfired.
Sensible comment
rational comment. I like his comment, straight forward
well said.. thank you for the uefa thropy that you gave us gigi.. i still remember that year that you almost won scudetto with us, if not that controversial lost to that cheater rubentus..
I like Gigi comment. Straight forward and hit the substance.
exactly
shut up Gigi you dumb fool, so was pirlo, when he was idiotically sold to Ac Milan.. Fool
I wish if it was only Pirlo, but there was Coutinho, Bonucci, Seedorf, Roberto Carlos and on and on! Einstein definition of insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again and expecting different results! That’s what we’re doing and regretting after that, the same will be with Kovacic. The worst thing is that with those miserable amount we will going buying mediocres, who after six months we’ll looking how to get rid of them.
I don’t think we gonna see Pirlo, Coutinho, Bonucci, Seedorf, Roberto Carlos as we see today, If they stay at Inter. In my opinion, the problem of Inter milan is more on structural level. We need to fill the playing identity and seek the player that suit the play. It gonna be wrong if we do the opposite, buy the player then decide the playing schema. Even though that is not wrong.
In my opinion, Mou player composition is more or less the same as Mancini. Both of them use a muscular mid to win the ball often, use the good wing back, play a winger that can be a striker, and use one creative attacking mid.
Mou got Maicon and Chivu for WB, Motta, Cambiasso, Zanetti in Mid, Sneidjer as AM, Pandev and Etoo as wide forward during his Inter time. While Mancini, he got Zabaleta and Kolarov as WB, Toure as mid, Silva as AM, and Aguero as wide forward during his time in ManCity. The difference is, Mou use counter attack strategy, while Mancini use positioning football.
What your opinion on this?
you should thank to Mr. Oriali for pirlo, seedorf, and roberto carlos
you forget cannavaro, the only defender that won ballon d’or,lol
Maybe he was, maybe he don’t. Since the decision to sell a player used to depends on management. Nowadays, Thohir give a space for Mancini to put his idea and work together to bring the player that he need. Its more modern football management, more or less like BPL team.
well because the team was so good that kovacic looked average compared!!??? , did you even watch inter games??!!!, even Messi would look average in this shi**y team that failed to score in friendly games…
we need someone like Jürgen Klopp or Diego Simeone… thess coach build teams around whats available and doesn’t cry for yaya toure look alike CDM for 40M, and then say well its due to FFP…
I remember Gasperini remarks on how wesley sneijder being useless for his style of play…….now mancini does a gasperini just in coward way, ooh i feel sorry but bla bla bla FFP… F£”$% U MANCINI
Yes that’s why we need the money from kovacic’s sale uplift team’s quality as a whole because one good player wont do much around mediocre players. And FFP isnt mancini’s fault –“
I think Seri A is not a competition for a player like Kova. He got a decent short pass and quick dribbling, which will be useful in an open game such as BPL. Seri A need a player who are good in tactical aspect. That’s why Kova often running but soon face a thigh defence and pass the ball to the back line.
Absolutely good point! I hope this will make some sense to some of the fans here. We need to find someone who is more consistent, Kovacic has some potentials, yes, but maybe he’s not made for Inter. I always believe that not everyone can shine at any clubs, sometimes they need to find the perfect match (could be particular club, manager, or coach) that could direct and unleash their potentials to the fullest.
I do agree with you. Maybe the expression of the fans in this site on Kova, reflect on how management treat the young player in the past. For me, it is interesting on how diverse inter fans is. I read often the fans in Italy complaining on the lack of trophy, which make sense if the Inter management bring more experience player to fulfil the expectation. It is clear that we can expect an instant result from a young player. They need time to be mature emotionally and in the game.
Spot on
Gigi got the point! 🙂
