A taste of Inter and then immediately a new challenge with his national team. After watching Inter win 2-1 against Carpi in the stands at Stadio Braglia, Ivan Perisic joined the Croatian national team’s training camp to prepare for the next two qualifying matches for the European Championships in France (against Azerbaijan in Baku on Thursday and against Norway in Oslo on Sunday). Interviewed by local reporters, the Inter winger also spoke about his new home San Siro.
“Inter has had a good start with six points from their opening two games and now I immediately will have my first derby against Milan. I didn’t have much time, because there have been long discussions related to my transfer, but Brozovic will definitely help me and then there are many players from this region, so I’m sure that I will have no problems settling in. My desire was to change, Inter is a great club and I think this season will be much better.”
The thoughts turned to the two commitments with Kovac’s national team: “It’s not easy for me at this time go to the national team, but I think the match in Azerbaijan can be a good opportunity. We need to score the first goal right away, that would make it easier. The first match went well against them (6-0 with two goals by Perisic, ed), but the upcoming match will be completely different.”
On Sunday, the match against Norway: “I hope we win both matches. In Azerbaijan, we might suffer from the heat because we haven’t had adequate preparation for those conditions, while Norway at home is very strong, so we will be focused and mentally strong, to solve our qualification with two more wins before the matches in October against Bulgaria and Malta.”

i agree we have perisic and icardi but jojo has some talent the other dont
perisic is very good tbh.. but if mancini want to build a good team, it’s should be build on teamwork not just 1 or 2 player.. we should not depend on on player.. that’s why in this mercato we even think about our bench player.. ^^
i didnt mean that .and i agree perisic is very good player but jojo and perisic have diffirenece skills so u cant compare. like ronaldo and messi are amazing and also they played diffirence positions. like jojo en perisic

It’s a shame that many of our new signing will join their national. Now my concern is how mancini can have the best out of them already in Milan match. They have a lot to catch up… too many signings is indeed very risky due to squad harmony and chemistry.. and hopefully no injury
