Roberto Mancini stopped to speak to Mediaset Premium after the 0-0 draw against Juventus.
“It was a hard and difficult game for both team, there were very few chances. We both played to win, the defenders did well. What did we miss? You always have something when it comes to Inter. We had chances just like Juventus did. We committed some mistakes but the players gave their all and some of them returned on Friday. Distractions happen. Maybe I don’t understand a lot of football..”
The subject then changed to Jovetic and his growth.
“Tonight was his best game since he joined Inter, even though he was only able to train for the last three days. Then the moment when Mauro scores will come as well and it will be a nice thing. If we had won tonight we would have increased our awareness, but a draw against Juve is ok. We need to improve some things but this is normal. We will see where we can end up, but I believe we can be in the top.”
Lastly about the rumored Etihad deal.
“Me as the channel through? We have a great sponsor, Pirelli. Etihad is a great brand but these things are not for me to get involved in. Who is the favorite to win the league? Fiorentina are in the lead and played an excellent game today, I think that Napoli, Roma and also Juventus are in the race.”

mancini was playing safe 1 point
he have too, our player look tired in the 2nd half.. it’s better to secure 1 point and stay at the top 3 than conceded a late goal.. ^^
Mancini fucked up by waiting so damn long to bring on Palacio and Kondogbia. Medel was finished for a good 10 minutes before that sub. Neither player even had a touch of the ball, what was the point of that???
to wasting time and secured 1 point because our players look tired.. kondo were not supposed to played, he had fitness problem, we don’t want to risk him.
I think he just didn’t wanted to lose that’s all- I would have replaced Medel at 75′ along with Palacio, so we can have a little more offensive game by the end of the match, but I know Manio won’t risk anything…
except the exceptional Guarin, why you chose him instead of kondogbia is beyond me.
Guarin has been known to be a pretty good super sub. He isnt good enough mentally to play an entire game but as a sub hes usually impressed. At the time we needed an offensive spark and he was the right choice. Obviously today was not his day.
kondogbia had fitness problem.. we don’t want to risk him.. we don’t want to loose him for the rest of the season right!?
The player gave their all but you didn’t give all your players XD
i criticized mancini last weak for not playing ljajic instead of manaj, but i don’t really understand, why should we blame mancini for playing guarin.. he’s playing like crap. yes, no one denied it. but what option did we have!? i started to think as mancini and look at my bench. and i see nothing can change the match on my bench.. so why not take a risk in guarin.. k-dog had fitness problem, i don’t want to risk him.. biabiany will make our right hand side weak, as santon played like crap. and the last minute change was just a tactical change to secure one point..
It’s more like why play guarin in that position. He could have easily changed the formation to 4-3-3 with medel as CDM and guaro and brozo as wide CMs. But from what I saw it was something else. Guaro looked lost and out of position
i think he tried a weird formation too, he put guaro slightly in front of medel.. i think, he’s hopping for guaro make some impact on our attack, and then he realise guarin can’t do shit.. and he decided to protect 0-0 result as he see our player look tired.. that’s why i think we need to make a few signing this january.. i think our mercato early in this seasons were not complete, that’s why he seems to reluctant to used 4-2-3-1.. we need dept in this team.. ^^
i think we should sign a RB, 1 winger or trequartista, and a striker to give icardi a good competition.. i don’t see icardi as a great striker yet.. but he has a potential to be great..
You sir are a coward! I don’t usually hate on Mancini and I still believe he’s the best for our bench for the moment, but subbing Kondogbia and Palacio for 2 mins only? I mean why bother at all?! This is a trend with Mancio he never uses the god damn subs he has. I remember that one time Figo even refused to be subbed in because Mancio wanted to sub him in @ 88′ against Liverpool when we were losing 3-0 aggregate!! I really hope this changes although I’m almost certain it won’t.
Agree with Mancini – the players left EVERYTHING out there today! What more could we ask for? And the building of Inter is an on-going process which started this summer, but won’t end until we finally wins something – if the signals from everyone at the club and the Coach are something to trust! We lack something, but many of our new players are starting to shine; Jojo is insane, so is the young Murillo the beast Melo and “the oldie” Medel are great together and Perisic is a constant danger down the left – we need to see more of Kondog and a great right back is needed as well, because Santon is nothing more than average!
