After it initially seemed as if Napoli did not want to comment on the two-game ban imposed by the disciplinary commission of FIGC for coach Maurizio Sarri as a result of the dispute with Roberto Mancini at the end of Tuesday’s match between Napoli and Inter, the club of Naples issued an official statement in which it expresses its position regarding its coach. Here is the text:
“The decision of the disciplinary commission formally confirms the absence of any racist or homophobic connotations in the words of Coach Sarri directed at the Coach of the opposing team during the Coppa Italia match on Tuesday. Knowing the cultural and human integrity of our Coach, Napoli never harboured any doubt about that, and believes that the regret for the words uttered, expressed repeatedly and publicly by Sarri, proves once again his personal qualities and capacity for self-criticism. Therefore, we categorically reject the notion that the words of Maurizio Sarri could have been intended in a discriminatory manner, and it’s hoped that the Inter Coach will accept the apologies which have repeatedly been offered, and that purely sporting events between the two clubs can return to being the focus of the media and the public.”

mr. sarri ,
YOU ARE MY HERO !
tell them again …
Intended or not, his actions was a form of bigotry.
hey napoli, here is the analogy : cover it with the best cream, icing it with the sweetest cherry. yet still beneath it all is only a cake with all the rough texture which may not as delicious as it looks like after the decorations.
you may stood up for your beloved new coach but still. he did it before. low class is low class, attitude is a die hard thing to deal with. he and his narrow mind would never do you good. it is better you think twice before stood up for such a disgrace 🙂
