FcIN – Today some 45 crosses were attempted, but if some were delivered well some were poor. How do you explain this? Given the match against Fiorentina what is Roberto Mancini’s sentiment about finishing third?
“I have a good feeling, we threw away 2 points in today’s match but given how it went today the team did well and played overall well. However, it started bad given that the lads lacked balance.”
Is it possible to see the 4-2-3-1 wth Brozovic and Kondogbia from the start?
“They are young, need to give balance. They need time.”
Was playing Eder on the wing your decision?
“He has a type of characteristic that makes him suitable in a 4-3-3, maybe he needs to tighten his movement more.”
Did you expected such a difficult match?
“We knew that it would be difficult to play, but if we hadn’t fallen asleep on the set pieces we would have won. We had the chances, then again every match is difficult.”
What to you need to work on?
“We were sleeping, but up until Alex header in the derby we hadn’t conceded on set pieces. When they scored 4-5 players had their heads on their pillows, 2-3 were out of position. We will work harder, in this moment we haven’t worked a lot.”
Can the match against Fiorentina change anything?
“If we win we’re in third place, in a great position.”

I am not sure about third place. Roma, Milan and Fiorentina are chasing us. And we make mistakes even against last place teams. At this pace since January…we are going down very fast. We have difficult matches coming up…Fiorentina and Juventus. We wil drop points again for sure. Before january the defense was solid now it is not. Murrilo is a good player but makes often mistakes which leads to a goal. Our wing backs are awfull. Melo is out of form and also Brozovic. Kondogbia strugles to finds his rythm in Serie A. Jovetic is not consistent. I hate Nagatomo with all my heart..Palacio misses big chances. Eder has not adapted yet.
To many inconsistency factors..the chemistry is not good yet. It is not a ´´ working machine´´ because Mancini still needs to set pieces together. I just hope that this is not a transition year again. We need the CL money to compete with Juve, Napoli etc..and to attract big players. Looking now at the market, even China will outperform us. Inter were after Lavezzi…he is going to China and even Toure will go to china.

Playing against the last with 3 defensive midfielders, relying on Nagatomo’s crosses and expecting to win is plain idiotic. We used to hate Mancio for being a coward the last time he led the team. I’m starting to do the same now.
Nagatomo is far from Dani Alves or Sergio Ramos crosses quality… what can we expect bro..
We can expect Mancio to build a tactic which doesn’t rely on crosses from the FB’s and especially Nagatomo. We have Perisic and Ljajic who are great wingers and can do that. 2 of the goals yesterday came from good crosses, but they were executed by Perisic and then Palacio. Biabiany also has a decent cross. Attacking through the center is also a good idea considering we have so many versatile players who can create chances. I just can’t understand Mancio’s stubbornness to give the most important duty of creating possibilities to the weakest link in the team.
4-2-3-1 Kondo and Medel as holders. Nail Brozo to the bench, it will do him good.
both kondogbia and brozovic did very bad. we’re not able to play a 4-2-3-1. more forwards doesn’t mean more goals. 4-3-3 is what we need going forward
Our midfield is very crippled right now. We brought in no midfielders and Guarin departed. Brozović is in shit form and tbh I don’t expect too much from him in the future. On the other hand Kondog can be great. People give him too much slack, sure, he doesn’t play like a 30M euro player but he is good going forward and has impressive physical feats; probably our best midfielder with Medel. He will only get better and he should play no matter his form, not like there is anyone better anyway.
i don’t see how you ruled out brozovic all along. we all know he has the ability. and is having some bad form. while kondogbia never put out a good all around perforamnce. never was “good” let alone “great”. people have double standerds. brozovic has what we our midfield is missing. his creativity and passing is top notch. he needs to be given time to recover his form.
Loooool what? Brozovic is the culprit for why we have no creativity, because he has no quality, he never has. So what he scored 2 longshots, he’s better coming from the bench, not in the starting and playing like he’s drunk.
As far as i remember, brozo was good when he play as attacking mid, then hes declining since mancio put him as cm. But im not football expert who know tactical part. So cmiiw. Maybe 4231 with kdog n medel as holder, n put llajic, eder/brozo n perisic to support icardi will work.
