“The loss in Florence is a point of no return. Because, leaving Mazzoleni’s mistakes aside it showed the fragility of a team who is in terrible need of a leader in midfield. Melo who was disqualified on Sunday cannot be that leader, and neither can Medel who runs a lot but is certainly not a playmaker. If Inter have lost 5 points in overtime due to goals by Candreva (1-2 Lazio), Berardi (0-1 Sassuolo), Lasagna (1-1 Carpi) and Babacar (2-1 Fiorentina) it is also due to lack of players such as Cambiasso or Thiago Motta in the squad. Players that knew when to slow down the game or speed it up. This is a lack in which the coach is the first to blame, after having had Felipe Melo at Galatasaray he thought the player would be the fighter and leader in his Inter midfield. But in his analysis Mancini has forgotten to look at Melo’s CV, his style of play does not work well with Italian referees.”

I hope Mancio can fix this situation immediately. If we don’t get some good results in 5 coming matches, we should think about replacing Mancio at the end of the season. Btw, if we sack Mancio, it will cost a lot of money to pay his compensation (we’re still paying Mazzarri’s wage, if I recall correctly). And if we hire managers like Simeone, Martinez, or De Boer (who are under contract with their current clubs), it will cost us more money

I thing Pellegrini would be best choice if we would look for replacement,all oter coaches have jobs and would probably apire to take charge of a club in better situation as coaches like Simeone could choose the club probably,if he wished to leave Atl. Madrid, and not to mention they would cost us money,but Pellegrini will be free in the summer and he did a deacent job at City imo and could help us…
I think it’s Conte that will end up in Chelsea. Pellegrini is not really different with Mancio and Mourinho. One league title at his first season and then got some great players on next transfer window, but they couldn’t do a great performance on the next season.
This is just my opinion, but I’m thinking about Stramaccioni right now. He’s free to get hired and costs less money for his salary. Besides, he’s good at dealing with young players. He put Kovacic in his best position as deep lying playmaker, while Mazzari and Mancio put him as an attacking midfielder. We defeated Milan and Juve with Strama. Anyone still remember our heroic 4-1 win against Spurs (unfortunately it didn’t help us to qualify)? I doubt we can do the same with Mancio. Last time with Inter, Strama was just unlucky to have many injured player (especially Milito and Samuel) and back then our squad was so average.

Pellegrini is a genious, I see him as good as Wenger.
I like Strama, he is a nice guy, but is not a good coach. Those injuries were not just because of bad luck, the reason was his training methods.

Kondo and Brozo have potential, but they’re still too young to bare all the responsibility that Cambiaso and Stankovic used to have. Melo is a moron and can never be reliable + shouldn’t play. And then there’s Medel who’s amazing defensively but can’t be the link between defense and attack we need. We can’t rely upon him to create offensive chances. We needed a Sneijder or a Pirlo and right now we got 5 good attackers who can’t score. Well done, Mancio.
I’m medel fan for sure, but whenever i saw the team get preassured in one side of pitch, where we have players on the other side unmark, i always hate medel cause he will 99% pass the ball back. He dont have vision to see the whole playing field and maybe also dont have the skill (range of passing) to distribute the ball in a strategic manner, either to ease opponent preassure with confidence or to build and attack from deep.

It’s totally Mancini’s fault.After the sale of Guarin we could have gotten a playmaker but Mancini wanted another forward because he’s so obsessed with 4-2-3-1 after his time at England.That system has rarely worked for us(Napoli game in the cup is the only exception i recall).He realised his mistake after the Milan derby and changed the system to 4-3-3 but the issue of a regista remains.But now it’s too late for reinforcements.The squad is criminally unbalanced.We have just 5 midfielders for 3 positions and we have 7 forwards for 3 positions.That’s unheard of.In the match against Samp two of our midfielders are out because of suspension(Medel,Kondo).We have two choices.Either we use a two man midfield or we won’t have a single midfielder on the bench.At least i hope Mancini will give a chance to Gnoukouri in this game.

Besides, I think 4-2-3-1 works for us, but not with kinds of Medel and Melo. Brozo-Kondo is our best option for this formation, and with Palacio/Eder-Ljajic-Perisic WE CAN KEEP THE BALL, CREATE SOMETHING AND SCORE SOME FUCKING GOALS!
brozo and kondogbia in a 2 man midfield is too risky, they lose balls a lot and they are abit lazy in their defensive duties
I think the defence is the duty of the whole team, I mean when u defend with 9 or 10 men, it doesn’t matter if u have a CDM like Medel or not. But in offence it matters, cause Medel is not even able to make a 20-meter pass.
i agree the defence is the whole teams responsibility, but brozovics and kondos defensive work rate is just horrible in my opinion, when they both improve their defensive contribution then i will be happy to not play medel beside them,honestly i don’t see bro and k-dog improving in that aspect anytime soon. so for now its just too risky not to play medel
but i agree in the long run a medel type player is not gonna cut it. hopefully in the summer we will buy a proper midfielder, someone to finally replace the cambiasso/motta hole in our team
Yep from what I observed this season, Kondogbia has a potential to be like Yaya Toure, but he’s not a good ball winner like Toure. Brozo, in the other hand, is not a good ball winner either. I really hate everytime Brozo make a wrong pass/lose the ball, he always makes a “give-up” gesture rather than fight to get the ball back
Agreed,id maybe like to see Medel-Kdog midfiled as i think Kdog has the required set of abilitys to be able to take the ball forward and with Medel behind him to cover if needed it would give us balance in midfield..I hope Kdog adjustes to Italy and starts playing better,he has the potential to be our best midfielder he just needs to find some consistency..
I think K-dog is able to do great things right now, unless that guy scrap his week-in-week-out mentality.

Medel is being played out of position..just like alot of our players he is best in a 3 man defense on the right as RCB if I’m not mistaken but Mancini thinks he can transform everyone into playing in a position they’re not meant to play in…Medel is hands down the best midfielder we have ..defensively anyways..and most consistent..when you play medel you know you’re gonna get a hard worker..and it’s not his fault…everyone knew medel can’t pass!..so why buy him and expect him to be a pirlo in the midfield senseless..Gnoukouri however is ideal for the midfield…probably the most level headed player we have after Miranda imo and he should plag but then there is Mancini…I really supported him even after he sold kova and brought in a player who in ny opinion is not any better or any more beneficial to the team but this is the last straw…you can’t be that stubborn…you have a freaking capocannoniare winner in your team yet no goals are scoring..you bring in perisic and ljajic two quality wingers…no goals are scoring…obviously the attack is not the problem..it lies in the midfield..you can’t play two cdm and expect creativity in the midfield…or change the midfield every week and expect them to be in form…Mancini is tactically oblivious.

If we could find a leader in our midfield that would be a drastic improvement ’cause i think that is the bigest problem..sure we need another winger (id prefer right one as im confident Perisic can be a good left winger) and a right back but on that positions we at least have deacent players (Santon and Biabiany) but we have no leader and that needs to be fixed asap at least imo..
