Sky Sport report that Mauro Icardi left Appiano Gentile earlier today and while he was on his way out the captain reassured worried fans outside. Icardi suffered an injury to his knee the first minutes against Bologna. But the medical staff at the club is said to be pessimistic about the possibility of Icardi playing against Roma. Coach Roberto Mancini confirmed yesterday that Stevan Jovetic will not be available and with Rodrigo Palacio suspended Mancini does not have a lot pf choices up front.

No Jovatic?? Mr Glass-legs strikes again. But without him, Icardi and pala we could play with Eder up front – and that would be the most logical. But I think he has played his best football on the wing where he can use his great technic and speed so I’d go for him there and then have a “false nine” up front in Ljajic, who would drop into midfield picking up the balls and providing throw balls to Eder on the right and Perisic on the left, playing on the counter as we will!
The system will dead sure be 4-3-3, with Miranda and Murillo best suided for Dzeko and Naga takes care of Salah and his speed and D’ambros has the right wing. Medel in the middle and Broso on Kondog infront of him and the 3 up front as I say…
