La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals today that Gary Medel could return to an old club of his, Boca Juniors.
“After some talks, the hypothesis of a return to Boca Juniors for Gary Medel is taking form. He played there between 2009 and 2011. Inter bought him from Cardiff two summers ago paying Cardiff 8 million euros. Considering the experience in Italy and the Copa America trough a year ago, a deal could be found for 9-10 million euros.”

this doesn’t make any sense why do we sell medel? he can be cdm and cb and he’s decent player i’d rather keep him than melo.
What sadened me is how come medel that achieve more than biglia in this past two season (in club and country) are half or even more less than half of biglia asking price. Frustrating.
how come? its very simple. Biglia has been rather outstanding in the league ever since he joined Lazio. and, apart from his defensive traits, he is a great regista
I would sell him for 10-15 to be honest. If we manage to sell him and Brozo we can get around 30-40m. We can use the money to buy a regista( since everyone consider Biglia too old, I would say Granit Xhaka ).
I would sell him anyday for 10 million and above. If you look at his qualities he actually doesn’t have anything besides he works like a beast. We lose a lot of games because we barely create any chances. This comes from the fact that our midfield can’t create anything. Medel can only pass over 10 meter. Kondogbia is a very usefull player but doesn’t have any vision or creativity, and brozovic can only run a lot and do simple pass and move actions. Xhaka would be a very awesome player but expensive indeed. And i’m afraid he won’t be the regista we are searching for. I think a midfield of Xhaka Kondogbia and Banega is still lacking creativity.
Maybe we should play with a classic DM with kondogbia and have 2 creating midfielders in front. with Banega and maybe a player like Isco/Goetze/Oscar so a classic attacking midfielder. Don’t give me comments like this isn’t FIFA because they are probably just as unrealistic as Xhaka. But a system like this is probably never gonna happen with Mancini.
We can’t even pay those guys salary. Kondo-Xhaka-Banega is more than enough in terms of creativity. Xhaka is playing for Gladbach, those guys you have mentioned are playing for top teams that are fighting for UCL, it’s easier to take him.

from those names I think Oscar may be a good option, considering Chelsea is our of european competitions, as for Xhaka- he is still young and has precision but I noticed he is not that fast but well anyway will cost around 25MM which may be insane.

am asian too mate, trust me, the kagawa case is like how naga and nakata wave only. sold like peanuts only in their respective country. park goes with the same effect. maybe if our local footballer have that kind of talent and mr. et bring that skillful indonesian to inter, we the indonesian interisti won’t mind at all to buy that original jersey too. it is some kind of national pride. but not effecting regionally.

Look if our management is smart they sell Medel. He is almost 29 years old and if there is a moment to cash in its right now. The fact that he is an important player tells you more about our team than how good Medel is.
There are plenty of young talented players out there you can pick up for 10 million euro’s. Just trust our scouting network. Brozovic and Murillo are examples to follow. Open your eyes, we should follow a proven business model like Sevilla. And we have more economical power than Sevilla so we can only improve from there.
He is a good sub for our central defenders as well. I’d rather use him in that position than JJ
I don’t understand why we have to sell Medel for that low price? He is a good asset to have in the squad because of his performances during the long season. And afterall, he is always contributing even in defence. So f**king stupid if Medel is sold.
Yes he’s a solid force in our team, doing everything he could on a regular basis, that’s an undisputable statement. But, as it stands he’s not the only player in that position and I think he won’t fit the bill were we to create a new system that isn’t as disjointed as it currently is. To put it simply, Medel’s offensive capabilities are severely limited, and we badly need a two way player that works (sorry kondogbia).
I’d rather we sell him rather than Broz, we couldn’t conjure liquid cash out of thin air thus he remains one of the best player we can sell for quick money.
I can see where you’re coming from. But I strongly disagree he should be sold. Rather, he should be moved back into central defence alongside Murillo soon. Miranda was awesome this season but he’s 32 soon and we all remember how fast Lucio and Samuel faded around that age. One moment they were world beaters, the next they were injury-prone, error-prone and slower. Model plays central defence for Chile and has for us on occasion. What he lacks in height he makes up for in judgement and being a warrior. He’s too valuable to sell
