Inter sports director Piero Ausilio spoke with Umbria Radio after the Festival del calcio event being held in Perugia:
On the takeover…
“Suning? I’m still waiting for news myself. It is something which came up to us quite fast, since everyone was still speaking about minor shares, now in one week everything seems to have changed and there might be a complete takeover. We still have to wait.”
The upcoming mercato…
“I think that the FPF must still be observed even if Suning should buy Inter. Inter must mantain its word with UEFA.”
Yaya Toure latest…
“I declined yesterday’s news of Toure’s medical visits because it is not true. I didn’t feel it was right to let the news go by without denying it. Toure’ is a big player, Mancini likes him and every football fan loves to see Toure’ playing. But to say that he is already an Inter player is quite different. It’s very difficult to sign Toure’ because Yaya is still under contract with City, one of the richest clubs in the world. It is not easy to get him.”
Kovacic potential Italy return to rivals…
“Mateo to Milan or Juve? I would be sad to see him with another jersey in Italy because I’m still close to Kovacic. We bought when he still a kid, we played him, he grew and we sold him at a very important price to Real. Now I hope he can stay at Madrid and grow in a team that has just won the Champions League. It is true that he didn’t play that much, but you need some time to settle and cement your place in the starting line up. Mateo, is still very young, he has already played a high number of competitive games in Serie A and La Liga: so if he is patient, he can become a very important player for Real. A possible return? If he returns to Italy, I sincerely hope he does not go to Milan or Juve. At Inter? We’re always interested in players like Kovacic, but at the moment we can’t say anything.”
Future of Zebli…
“I’m very happy for the boy, because he is a good example of how growth can happen in various methods. We thought that a move to Perugia would be good for him. In the begining we thought he would be a primavera players but in time he managed to establish himself in the first team and we’re happy. We still controlling the player’s future with Perugia, having set a gentlemen’s agreement with the club.”
Manaj to Perugia…
“I have a good relationship with Perugia’s directors, so they know that Inter is available should they need any of our players. For Manaj and other young players, we will do something, we’ll see if they’re useful for Perugia.”
If Inter can attract stars…
“I don’t know if great players can come to Serie A. I don’t know Ibra’s figures as wages, but we can’t even think of signing such players. Then, I don’t know if other clubs can sign him. We have a good squad, our forward is Mauro Icardi and we have a series of other good offensive players. We should build and concentrate on what we have already.”
Meeting with Mancini…
“He’s enthusiastic, I met him a couple of days ago and we spoke about next season. We’re totally concentrated to do what’s best for Inter.”

funny thing is while youngsters develop themselves in other clubs, going to our rivals, get the trophies = we waste our money and sign old auto robotic brainless players. And the results are the same for us, not even higher more than 4th place at the table in the end of season. so well done
i wouldnt mind if kovacic go to milan or juve, because i was sure whis will happen. its no brainer mancio dont like him and want him out. we took 35mlns. he is free to go whereever someone want him. even if this is milan or juve. its not the boy’s fault that we let him go because of melo?!?!
exactly, as much as i hate for that to happen, but when you claim he is not sellable and our future and then we sell him when you receive decent offer , it means a lot to fans and player himself (every one stop becoming too attached to the club = underperform), INTER has unfortunatly had a bad record when its comes to holding to young player, only Zanetti survived compared to Juve and Milan and you will see how they believe in their talents and dont easly give them up like we do when we ever have the chance , the irony we sign retiring players or average ones to fulfil their dream playing for INTER.
Our management need to set certain rules, values and F***ing guide, some players should be protected like bayern and Barcelona do, young players are dreamers and will put a lot of effort to adapt and learn, Coutinho left when he was starting to play his game, he left kind of experinced and not the young version of him, Kovacic became a better player, his defensive side has improved a lot for his position, yet we sold and claim we are sorry to see him leave, like really were you??!!
we need someone to guide young talented player to the right path and teach them some football like Simeone did with Atletico Madrid.
Manici is a gamer, insisting on Toure just shows how he puts all the faith in experienced players, Ljajic is leaving when every one knows what kind performance he put, why sell him even when they perform.
could you imagine, what if we hold players like cou or bought him back and pairing him with kova here…man! we said the reason because we need EXPERIENCED players to win trophies, and sell youngsters to get the money and other BS.. And then, what we got? NOTHING, instead tons of garbage players
Mancio enthusiastic. I imagine him having dollar signs instead of eyes in the past several days. 😀
