Il Giornale imply that Inter‘s offer for Gabigol can’t be matched by Juventus. Inter have offered 25 million to Santos, 18 million will go directly to them while the other 7 million will go to Gabigol and his family. Inter are prepared to hand him a five-year-deal with a salary of 3 million a year, something Juventus simply won’t match for a non-guaranteed starter.

If I were you guys i would be happy with Tomasso Rocchi ….at least he guarantees more than 1 goal in a half season for basically nothing unlike Eder who was paid what was it 13 mill and only scored 1 goal in half a season who by the way had 9 goals under Zenga’s Sampdoria.
Wow he and his family will get straight 7 mill also salary of 3 mill a year. I hope his skill match with messi and ronaldo…
If it can strengthen our team go get it
Gabigol is the Brazilian version of Dybala. He can play as AMR, AML, AMC and even as a SS just similar to Dybala. Gabigol has a very strong left foot, likes to cut inside, strong dribble with a great determination and of course a great finisher. His personal record: more than 600 goals for Santos youth/primavera.
Icardi and Gabigol will have a great run this season with the supports of experienced winger like Perisic and Candreva and midfielder like Banega. We need someone like Gabigol to ease the burden of Icardi. With him, Icardi will only need to focus at converting all assists into many goals. While Gabriel Jesus is more like a skillful winger, a joyful to watch but his style reminds me a lot about Robinho. His style does not suit very well in Serie-A.
The only question mark for us: Will Mancini really use Gabigol? Does he even know how to utilize Gabigol? Long passes will not work very well with Gabigol. Hopefully Gabigol will not end up just like Shaq and Ljajic. 25 million euros player is just so wrong to be benched.
I think that we are getting 25M worth substitute. I just can’t see him working with Icardi-type of player, and also I don’t think that Mancini will ever field 2 wingers + 2 forwards + attacking midfielder, it’s just too much.
The only logical explanation for chasing Gabriel Barbosa is selling Icardi, which is a shit move if you ask me.
I’m not quite sure about that, but who can read Mancio’s mind?
When you watch Santos game, Gabigol is frequently used as AMR/AMC, not a target man like Icardi. If Gabigol is coming here as a substitute, Jovetic/Eder could be the name that will be sacrificed.
what i find hilarious is the fact that when there was rumours about GJ to inter, it seemed like everyone saying gabigol is better but now that gabigol seems more realistic transfer target, everyone is complaining that GJ is a better player 🙂
99% of the people here dont know shit about either player.
They are just talking out of their asses really.
Headline doesnt match the article.
Headline says “cant”, article says “wont”.
Obviously Rubentus can match any fee Inter offers, whether they want to is a completely different matter.
Gabigol might be a better option than G. Jesus. In Italy there’s not much space where you can dribble and defenders are tough, and although they’re slow there’s not many players who are able to skip their way past them with ease. Gabigol has a great start and relies more on his physique, which can be a great advantage is Serie A. He has decent technique and can get on his own into the box and shoot, he’s not your classical striker like Icardi, so I wouldn’t compare them. He’s more similar to Eder or Palacio actually. If he gets adjusted and builds on his talent I think he’s more suitable for Serie A football than Jesus.
I always think that Gabigol is better than Gabijes. Dunno why, but in FM he’s so good lol.
Jesus got attention upon himself only recently, while Gabigol has been there for a while now. I can’t tell who’s more talented or better, my opinion is that Gabigol would fit better in Italy.
that’s true, Gabigol has been a thing for at least two years while Jesus was only recently.
hahahaha…. thats true!! scores loads of goals too
I agree with everything except Gabigol being more suited for Serie A than Gabriel Jesus. Although, I do think that Gabigol is more suited for Inter specifically. Mostly because I personally think Icardi was at his best when Palacio was still prime, and could provide good movement and open up space for Icardi, something Gabigol should be capable of.
Jube can’t match SHIT until they sell Pogba…
yeah you’re right..
Berardi is almost impossible for now..
i just dont think “Gabigol” really worth 25M..
he havent proven in any european league..
25M is just too much for gambling..
That’s how the world works, if he was in a European league his price would be much more
ofcourse, if he can maintain his level on european league..
btw why only us and grandma who are interseted in him?
Many are interested just not bidding, but if Barca and Juve are going for him, everyone else will soon have him on their radar
I am afraid that he is really overhyped and will not be a succes. I know his statistics are very good, but from what I have seen he is not near Gabriel Jesus who seems like a much greater talent. We failed to land Gabriel Jesus and now we are blindly focusing on this guy who is totally different..
Up until about a month ago, every one thought Gabigol was the next great Brazilian talent, Gabriel Jesus has only recently emerged
Actually the first thing from his style that interested me was the fact that Gabigol is more like a team player. He passes more in crucial moments. And in my mind that makes him potentially better suited for Serie A where defenders are far better than Brazilian league.
Also he is left footed and that is also an advantage to GJ.
I really didn’t get the impression that he is a team player, just the opposite.
I’ve been watching some of his highlights, and in a lot of 1-on1s he elected to pass to the other striker which is very strange for Brazilian young talents. I also saw him make some nice through passes.
He doesn’t have the tendency to dribble bunch of players all together just to see himself out of breath or trapped. He tends to use his speed, cuts in to shoot or pass. And he is a good finisher…
Its been reported Gabigol will not be able to join inters squad until December as that is when the brazillian league finishes so it’s great to sign Gabigol but it sux he can’t play for inter until after December
I’d take that deal. We have enough to cover there for half a season and more.
i think this is a real gamble..
why dont use that money for a player that already proven in serie a like Berrardi ?
Shut up already, if we could get Berardi we would’ve, and it doesn’t matter that he isn’t proven in Serie A, he’s young and has talent and will adjust, should we just only ever sign players from Serie A? That’s not how we get back into CL
just shut up, learn to respect people if you want to have a conversation
it’s not that we don’t want Berrardi, Sassuolo don’t want to sell him and consider him indispensable this season because they’re going to compete in euro. We may try again next year. And he’s free from Rube’s gentleman agreement.
I think we’re favorite for Berardi next season because the player’s preference will trump all. He’s an Interista after all.
Can’t get this hype around Berardi…
i just think right now we need someone that have experience in serie a or european top league, maybe someone around 25-28 years old, not to gamble on some youngster with 25M..
We have some experienced 27 year old players like Perisic, Banega and Candreva. GG also will gain experience in couple of months . Just look at Neymar.
The gamble that you talk about made our most valuable players.. Icardi, Brozo, Murillo,..
We need to invest in youngsters…
We HAVE two very good wingers in Candreva and Perisic now. So I’d rather gamble the money on a 19 year old , in a position that with a little bit of effort his price could be trippled…
Icardi was shining at sampdoria (serie a)..
Murillo already show his class with Granada (liga BBVA)..
both of them were proven on european top league, which is mean can be counted as “low – moderate risk” to invest in them..
only Broz that can be counted as “high risk” investment..
but we bought him after a loan deal, which make the risk going down to “moderate” plus it was around 5-8M not 25M..
but i agree with your point about invest in youngster..
Icardi would not worth 70m, if we would not had given our no9 to him, and made him our focal point in our offense. That is a risk in my books. Gabigol however, does not need to carry the team at this moment because of the players such as Candreva, Perisic, Icardi, Banega, and even Kondogbia are under such scrutiny.
Or Murillo would not be 40m if we planned to stay safe and play Medel or Vidic before him.
My point is we took risk with all the players I mentioned..
exactly, i think we should be looking to bring young talents to the club rather than signing old veterans who are past their prime… one of the major reasons for our decline after 2010 treble was that we didn’t have young guns who could carry the momentum.. we shouldn’t be so negative in investing in bright prospects…
it’s like when barca bought neymar. creating a new football idol from a glimpse of talent and good looking. yeah berardi not as bad looking as galliani but he got less chance to earn global reputation than this brazillian kid. cmiiw
LOL
