The arrival of Antonio Candreva already meant that Stevan Jovetić’s chances of regular first team football were limited this season. Now that Gabigol is all but confirmed to be joining Frank De Boer’s squad in January, Jovetić’s days in black and blue are numbered and so the club have been working to find a solution for him.
Piero Ausilio continued negotiations into the night with the player’s representative, with the objective of reaching an agreement for the player to rejoin Fiorentina. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there is now a deal in place allowing Jovetić to play under Paulo Sousa this season. The deal will be formulated by an initial loan spell, during which La Viola will pay the entirety of the Montenegrin’s wages.
Whilst not an outright sale, it is important to note that Inter will save €7m gross on wages having sealed this deal. With the impending arrivals of João Mário and Gabigol, this could also prove crucial in adhering to Financial Fair Play restrictions.

Jojo and Ljiajic out, why I’m not impressed!
Wasted talent
Can’t wait for him to score a hat trick against us. Once he gets the opportunity and the backing he needs he will shine, because he is talented and already developed, just in a slump of form.
Yeah, i believe that migh happened, when he is in form he looks like the best player in the world,
That slump of form is going on for 2-3 season now.. I think that when people say Jovetic they mean Jovetic from 2012-2013, since then he is going from one injury to another and as a result became very sluggish and slow. He can still do anything with the ball, he always had great tehnique but his efficiency dropped severaly, he is not the player he was 3 or 4 season ago.
He can still be great. He left Fiorentina as a beast only to get benched by City and then we took him. We were supposed to play him and resurrect him but he was basically dropped from the team after he scored in first two fixtures of last season. Why? Only stupid Mancini knows.
Well look at it this way bro, if he does return to his past self he is still ours. Happy much?
don’t listen to the people that say jojoj is not good ,he was better than anyone else at inter
he is gonna fuck us again like he did that time with ljajic
He has been in a “slump of form” since leaving fiorentina…
Its not ideal, but no one will ever offer those 14m for him considering he hasnt done jack for 3 seasons now + jis injury history.
Hopefully he performs decently and Fiorentina decides to buy him.
“Here, Fiorentina, we’ll buy this player for you, just pay his wages. Why we’re doing this? Cuz we’re buddies :)”
The only sensible explanation I see is that Gabigol wanted reassurance that he’ll have a regular spot in the team. I do hope Jojo becomes a starter in Fio and comes back a beast.
Yeah, fio wants jojo, jojo want fio, and inter want to send jojo away, everybody is happy in this case
furthermore. if he keeps good form and stays injury free, his value will rise and everyones even more happy:))
the only way I would be happy with this deal is if gabi becomes a hit
If he can stay healthy !!
this is the best possibilities IMHO, we saves 7 mio and give jojo a time to prove himself, market value rise up and will eventually help us appraise him wether to pull him back from viola or sell him afterward.
Sending Jovetic to a rival on a free loan makes no sense! Especially after the way they treated us in the Salah case.
That doesnt matter, because we are desperate to send jojo away and only fio willing to take him, win win solution for me
Just losing more and more money without results in last 1-2 years. We must buy Jovetic buy 14.5 anyway. I hope that he would shine for Viola just to sell him for 15 mil. next year.
Yep, still buying the player, but not paying his salaries. 7 mil wages, whoopty doo. We’re still 14 mil behind, cause he won’t be available.
