Carlo Laudisa on Gazzetta.it analysed the situation of some players who are not part of their clubs’ projects such as Lichtsteiner, who was approached by Inter in this transfer window, and Jovetic.
“In recent days Lichtsteiner came out in the open to demand the transfer to Inter after the arrivals of Dani Alves and Cuadrado, however there was a straight no from Juve. Yesterday the Swiss (soon out of contract) tried in vain to capture the social media likes of the fans. Allegri and Marotta’s clearly don’t see a future for him at the club, so his situation has become quite awkward.
The case of Stevan Jovetic is another tricky one. Since the beginning of the pre-season the Montenegrin has remained out of the Inter project and the loan option to Fiorentina seemed to satisfy all parties. Instead the parties have not found an economic agreement for the wages, despite the hectic meetings in the last hours of the market. Now Jo-Jo is like a fish out of water. He was not included on the list for the Europa League, he appears destined to also find little space in the league. ”

I think that we have to sell big players like JoJo , Placio and eder,,,not now of course but soon after J.mario , Gabi and Caprari adapt serie A ….not because they are bad (big players) but because to free a rooms for the younger players also to avoid FFP rules !
hope de boer give him more playing time…because he have some quality, he can create chance as well as finish it. he just need to work harder in the training ground….
He will only get playing time if Icardi gets injured and even then grandpalacio is probably a better choice.
Shame Inter failed to get rid of Jovetic.
As I understand the problem is that if we play him in any more official games then we will be forced the pay the clause of around €15m. to city..
we paid already because we want to loan him out
Hope the best for Jojo to rediscover his true form.. might be a great boost to our attack if he get back to his best
Hence my irritation since the journalist failed to point that out
I actually feel Jojo would be perfect for De Boer*s system as the striker up top. Receiving and assisting the runs of the midfielders and the wingers.
De Boer has implemented both a false 9 (Jovetic) and a pure 9 (Icardi) into his 4-3-3 systems while at Ajax, it’s just a matter of surrounding them with the right personnel. Both Jovetic and Icardi require the team to play through them, but in very different ways. Jovetic prefers to make space with the ball at his feet, using his dribbling or some quick passing to create an opportunity, therefore I think he would be best supported by Palacio and Candreva on the wing (both very unselfish players with great dribbling and hold up play), Banega as the trequartista (needs to be further forward to interchange passes with Jovetic), Kondogbia/Joao Mario/Brozovic as the box to box DM(get forward when possible, but mostly just get the ball forward) and Medel/Melo in their classic “destroyer” role. Icardi on the other hand, prefers to make space with his movement, only receiving the ball to hold up play or for an immediate chance at goal, therefore I think he is best supported by Perisic (great work rates, has the ability to feed Icardi and score on his own) and Candreva (unselfish, great crossing, dribbling and hold up play) on the wings, Banega/Joao Mario/Brozovic as CMs (the extra creativity in the midfield will help to balance Icardi’s lack of passing ability up top, and will dictate tempo and direction going forward) and Medel/Melo in their classic role of the “destroyer” in front of the defensive line.
I don’t think De Boer won’t give Jojo a shot. He just has to train hard and wait for his chance.
Probably it’s just me feeling the negativity of the reports regarding inter. Anyway, on jovetic’s situation, Eder was chosen instead of him because of the FFP and versatility, not because he is out of the team plans. It’s a new regime, too soon to accuse something negatively.
He was not included in the EL list, because of FFP. He will have his shots in Coppa, as well as the Sunday games after the EL games which are important enough to use Icardi in them…
Looking at his jabs towards inter, this journalist is either merda and mafioso fan or mafioso and merda fan
LOL
