Inter coach Frank De Boer spoke to Premium Sport after the 1-1 draw at San Siro against Bologna this afternoon. here is what he had to say:
“Ranocchia played a good game and deserved to score. We lost the game in the first 20 minutes, then we played better and created some good chances to win. I saw a team that works the entire 90 minutes: this is a very positive sign. Bologna took the opportunity to attack in the final quarter of the game, but I’m glad for the work put out by the team. ” This is how Frank De Boer expressed his analysis of today’s tie.. “In the morning we heard of having to change two players, Joao Mario and Jeison Murillo. After the first part of the match we played with more calmness and we controlled the game.
After the first 20 minutes I saw a team that wanted to win. We played pretty well after that except for the final quarter when we had less control ‘Because of the tight schedule and many players were tired. It is not our best championship game, but I’m happy with the demonstration. Gabigol’s work? It is not easy to get into the game with so much pressure though for me he has done quite well. We know he can play better. This is his first appearance, I am very happy. What about Kondogbia? : ” When a player does not want to understand what is required.. this morning we talked about it, but if he does not want me to feel his presence, well it is not the first time that we have spoke with him of this”.

sad about this Kondogbia thing. He was improved a lot at 2nd half of last season. Settled in well and improve his playing-style. Then all of a sudden, he wont listen to the coach, I think he deliberately do that to exit from Inter
kono & medel not working together….both are the same type of player in midfield…but when medel is in game, kond trying to play some type of playmaker and holding the ball…but he is classic defensive midfielder, nothing else…just run and do dirty jobs..he can be good with j.mario like he was in monaco with moutinho….
Kondogbia doesn’t have the tactical knowledge to play dm, he is a classic box to box cm like he did with Monaco with toulalan and moutinho making him look good… I mean but ranocchia as cm with those two and he would look like albertini…
We have real problems up front. We only have Perisic and Icardi who can score. If they have a bad day we wont score. Lets face it, the way we are playing now, Candreva will never score, Banega will never score and certaintly not Kondo, Medel, Gnoukouri, and the rest. All we do is cross for Icardi and he is the only one in the box against 2 or 3 defenders. If we compare to Napoli for example who have Insigne, Milik, Callejon and Hamsik who can get on the scoresheet. They are not dependant on a single player. FDB must fix this problem. More bodies in the box for the crosses, more shots from outside of the box from the midfielders ( specially Banega and J. Mario), Candreva must try to beat his man one on one and not just put in crosses all the time.
Without Joao Mario this team looses so mutch. He has played 3 games and we have won all 3. I hope he is back for next game against Roma.
I like what i saw. There was movement within the play and each player did their best. Shame Handa could have at least did a bit more to stop Destro from scoring. The only issue was Inter was a bit too long holding the ball and as turn out what happened to Kondo. Should learn from mistake. Thumbs up Rano when called upon.
before the game i said kondogbia + liability, and boy wasn’t i right? but blame also goes on handanovic and both defenders
so it’s FDB’s way or the highway.. kondo will get other chances to prove his worth but he can run out of these chances by January… he should not feel demotivated because in teh eyes of FDB even Rano can be redeemed if he worked hard enough.. so kondo get your shit together you’ll get another chance soon
Ok seriously we can’t be happy with 1-1 at home against Bologna….. And on top of that, we know that mostly likely Melo, Brozo and even Kondo will be sold this winter… On top of that we have no real center back that can replace Miranda/Murillo. Rano is not good enough tell me one game that he has played and we’ve WON, not one game!!! Also our fullbacks are all over the place and Icardi is very lonely up front. Our first 11 is very good but the bench is disastrous. What bothers me is we have a lot of quality but we can’t do nothing with it. We haven’t won a game by 3 goals this season yet I’m optimistic but damn…

We are very handicapped on the bench and that’s the plain truth. The starting 11 is great but our bench (midfield and defence) suck pretty bad. That’s Ausilio’s job for the January transfer window – find a new home for Kondogbia, Melo, and co.
True brother, Ausilio did a good job in bringing free transfers like Banega, but his real test is at selling garbage.. We should wait and see, our bench is heavy regarding space and salaries

Kondogbia has 0 agility, in football you need to be able to move side to side as well and kdog seems to struggle so much with movements. How often have we seen smaller players out muscle him? Medel can shield the ball and is light on his feet, he allows the other midfielders more freedom. Without medel we are always on the back foot as evident when melo came in for him against ruBe… Melo is also slow and clumsy but at least melo can read the game/ commit a tactical fool and can shield/distribute the ball.
Kondogbia simply offers nothing, he doesn’t offer physique or passing!

Lol well I guess ppl forget or just don’t like being wrong. But to be honest I had and still have high hopes for kondogbia. Obviously it’s going to be difficult for him to get play time now but as we all know he needs to follow instructions and play for the team not to look flashy . And this now will lower his confidence even further but I pray he will step up to the big task that’s awaiting him.

Kondogbia theoretical should love playing in the de boar systems but I have not seen a player underperform so badly. It seems like he is damaged goods. How can you lose possession so easily, and then not even track back or even try to commit a professional Foul. I think we don’t have depth. Our best starting line up won’t be able to play every game. Which is a shame. Sell Kondogbia and look to sign thiago mai from Santos.

Damn Franky is a hard ass! First Broso and now a “not-listening” Kondogbia. Can’t remember a coach blasting a player and taking him off after only 27minutes before!!! He’s great Franky and Gnou was superb when coming on!! But Kondogbia won’t be playing much in the coming weeks I guess!!

Miangue was solid today I was impressed. Kondo needs a psychologist to help him mentally. I don’t know why Eder is sucking so much he didn’t do anything when he came on!!! Rano missed a glorious chance at the end he is just not good enough, I’m scared every time he gets the ball :/ Barbosa has quality but we have to be patient with him. I like FDB but I think we made the wrong decision when he subbed out Banega… He should’ve taken out Rano, put Medel at cb, and put in Gabriel. Also think jovetic should’ve came on instead of Eder for two reasons: to prove that he wants to play by working hard and that Eder can play in the EL but jojo can’t so rest Eder. I think Icardi is awesome but he needs someone to compete with him up front. If you have no competition you tend to chill because you know no one is going to replace you… Also if you guys noticed, we make life difficult for ourselves sometimes by playing to wide and then cross the ball in, usually it’s Icardi vs three defenders and be can’t dribble so I think we should play more direct. Maybe play banega (playmaker) and jmario/medel (hardworking) the center and have perisic and candreva on the wings and play Icardi as a center forward and jovetic/barbosa/Eder behind him. What do you guys think???
Agree with the Jojo thing- only, he doesn’t run and fight as much as Eder which is what Franky wants! Ranno was actually great today, yes missed a clear header but he’s a defender so… But actually both Ranno and Santon seems like totally new players compared to under Mancini!
If he can’t take a header and an easy one he shouldn’t exist in the box and leave this space for someone esle.. I hate him
