After the important win against Torino tonight, Samir Handanovic had the following to say after the match:
“We played well and deserved to win, but this is football, the fortune or misfortune you find during the week. Also at Bergamo we played well in the second half but we missed some opportunities that we have to take advantage of. If this victory is for De Boer? Tonight we played for the Inter world. If the path for the season is straight now? Football is strange, in one week everything can change. It all comes down to us if we want to continue on this path.”

It’s only temporary. I think Perisic will be back soon on form.
What we learned from this game:
1. Joao Mario is the regista we have been looking for so long. Medel will have to take Murillo’s place when he gets back for a more solid defence.
2. Eder should start every game now on the left in favour of Perisic.
3. Brozovic, is he really trequartista material? Of course not.
4. Our fullback problems will never end (Ansaldi is no upgrade to D’Ambrosio).
Agree with all except ansaldi, he got tripped by Murillo and he’s actually quite decent, a big upgrade over dambrosio.
Brozovic is decent as a cm and I think he has yet to find his form. He’s no genius but he can be useful and is very mobile.
Banega should always be our no 10 behind the front three, he should never be wasted as a regista.
I liked seeing rodrigo, he’s lost some pace to pass his man but his mind is so quick and he knows always what to do with the ball, his creativity is often ignored by interisti who post here only looking at his pace, he’s not a number 9 anymore, he’s evolved into more of an assist man.
Broso played as a box-to-box player and did well and ran like a maniac! Otherwise I agree!
So he played 4-3-3? Ok….I missed that. My stream was bad quality. Everytime it got back Brozo was higher up then Banega and Mario. I assumed it was the 4-2-3-1. Brozo is best as box to box. His greatest quality is his stamina. He can run and run.
Njah, he played 4-2-3-1 but with Broso side by side in central mid, where as Mario dropped deep as our regista and Broso pushing forward as our box-to-box player… but the team was very fluent, and players changed position a lot like Eder who played on the wing but went into the center very often …
I thought so too. But it was 4-3-3 watch the tactical analysis.
What, haven’t seen it, but it wasn’t! In a 4-3-3 all 3 midfielders are expected to get back to defend, and that never happened; Banega never got close to our defense, Icardi did, but not a midfielder like Banega.
Disagree with #2. I’d hardly ever play Eder over Perisic, only if Perisic is off his game. Two different class levels imo. Eder has scored what.. 2 or 3 goals in 30+ games? And he is more times than not, ineffective and out of the game. Perisic > Eder for me on the wing.
Am talking current form mate.
you damn right its up to you. The players play and coaches coach. 2 many players on this team have escaped criticism at the expense of our coaches for too long.
need more handas in the squad
this is the kind of shit I like to hear from players
true captain
Thank God Palacio came in and turned the game. 😀
I know you’re joking but his movement and passing are pure class, he also very rarely loses the ball and rarely passes backwards. Unsung hero
true, we shouldn’t dis a former world class player that has served us great!
