I remember FDB start to play Milik at his 19th years old, and becoming starter at 20th years old. He was came from irregular play on Bundesliga. He did very well, scoring more than 25 goals every season.
In the meanwhile, Gabriel Barbosa AKA Gabigol is reguler player at Santos for 2 or years ago when he is only 17, and he plays for his national team player, and scoring more than 25 goals every season.
Why does he treat differently?
I will mention another name, like Daley Blind (start 20th yo, reguler starter 22th yo) or Toby Alderweireld (start 20th yo, reguler starter at 21st yo) or Christian Eriksen (start 18th yo, reguler starter at 19th yo).

The fact is; Gabi is young and has been playing constantly for a hole year now, first home in Santos, then at the Olympics and the for the National team so hasn’t got a break at all for a hole year.
Its very important that he slowly gets used to Italian football, learns the tactics, his teammates and the langue so he won’t burn totally out too fast. How often haven’t we seen that happen to a young super talented lad?? He played a hole practice game the other day with Jojo and the reserves and scored and played well btw, and that’s the way to get used to our way of playing!
When it comes to guiding a youngster in the right direction I completely trust FDB!!

He is a consistently solid player. He played well like usual, but hes up there in age and lost a few steps is all I’m saying. He worked out as a sub this time but there’s been just as many times that playing him didnt benefit us. I just feel that if we pushed Gabi to be here now, use him in slow games that could be unlocked with some pace.

Im not a Gabigol fanboy, a trident of Perisic/Eder – Icardi – Candreva/Eder is one of the best trios in the league, if not europe. However, when we’ve had a sluggish game, like most of the season, why not put in Gabi instead of Palacio? Like against Torino, we were struggling in the attack and sub on Palacio. Gabi is not used to Serie A sure, but hes gotta get used to it which happens via playing, and hes a burst of energy, eager to make an impact. Why not use him? I thank Palacio for all hes done during his tenure, but his time is up I think, he’s about like Carrizo, and we should really only use him when we have to or when it doesnt matter.
if you hurry young talent they will be taken by the pressure. inter is for once doning it the way it should be done. reduce pressure on him and make him learn the dynamics of serie a. in a couple of months he will gradually get more and more game time and he will eventually be a starter. dont worry 🙂
