While Icardi, Perisic, Murillo, Brozovic and Candreva have increased their value with the Nerazzuri, on the other hand there are many players that instead have lost economic value. According to Corriere dello Sport part of Inter’s roster has decreased in value with 70 millions of euro. This is of course a direct consequence of the team’s bad performance but also from poor individual performances as well. “Kondogbia, Miranda, Jovetic, Eder, Joao Mario, Gabigol and Ansaldi meant a 168.5 millions of euro investment (including bonuses). Today, these players are worth approximately a 100 millions of euro. Take Kondogbia for example, the big hit of summer 2015 when Inter stole him from Milan for 31 millions + 5 millions in bonus + commisions. So far he has played little and his performances has been anything but good. He could leave in January, but to find anyone who could give an acceptable offer is hard and what about Gabigol and Joao Mario? They have the excuse (compared to the Frenchman) of not being as long in Inter, but that still doesn’t take away the fact that they haven’t performed well and that their value has decreased. Also Ansaldi has failed to impress and with the knee injury he’s in difficulty.”

Not good worth 40 mil. Probably good enough for 15 mil.
just need to know how much we will get for Kondo in the next transfer window-
Well of cause players that are not playing will decrease in value while those who do play will increase….
Didn´t Miranda arrive on a free transfer? Anseldi arrived on an exchange deal with Genoa and a couple of millions the other way so can’t have decreased his value that much?
We over spend for Kondogbia, Mario and Gabi + signed strange useless players (Eder) or players that didn’t fit into a 4-3-3 (jojo) which is also why Suning is thinking about the reportedly sacking of Ausilio.
So why sacking Ausilio if the player is not his choice?
I think Ausilio is good on negotiation.
But I always wonder who usually choose which player to buy other than the suggestion/demand of the coach?
It works this way; a coach asks his director of sports to buy him either a player he already knows (and then he gives him a name to follow) or he tells him to find a player with similar characteristic and then it´s up to the director of sports to work his magic.
At the end of the day it is always the director of sport who buys a player and who, together with the owner and CEO points out a new coach.
Of cause back in the “moratti-days” we quite often saw him buy a player, and keeping him forever even though he didn’t play much and didn’t had a “reason” for keeping him other than he liked him (Recoba f.x). But now the director of sports has much more power.
About why sack Ausilio; when a new owner comes in and sees that his club has struggled for years, he would find it quite natural to make some changes at the top of management – that’s what Thohir did when sacking Branca, promoting Ausilio and hiring Bolingbrook as a new CEO. Now Suning came in 6 months ago and they have sacked Bolingbrook and install a new CEO, Mr Liu (temporary), and could sack Ausilio and this no-name Bardini whom he´s working with in order to get a proven well-known director of sport on board!
Inter need to sack Ausilio. He has messed up badly recently. Am also mad he have lost every primary target we have had and always getting our 3rd or 4th choice. From Verratti to Lavezzi to Nainggolan to Salah to Gabriel Jesus. I would say hire Sabatini but ever since he signed JJ i lost respect for him lol.
To be honest many of the players you mentioned got away while Branca was our Director of Sports BUT Ausilio was his right hand then so…
Sabatini has done superb at Roma and signing JJ was a good move but hell, he got him on loan!
I´d love us to take in Saba AND Leonardo to work together!
My bad, Verratti and Lavezzi was on Branca. But we need to clear things at management level too so Ausilio needs to be replaced by Sabatini who is mutch better. Signing Salah, Peres, Nainggolan, Paredes, Strootman, Pjanic, Perotti, and Manolas is just amazing work. All top class players.
Yep all class players, plus the youngsters they have playing out on loan every where – plus the mentioned players didn’t come in on a huge expense like Kondogbia, Mario, Candreva or even Perisic did!
Valuing football players is generally a load of subjective nonsense.
A football player is not gold nugget with a slightly fluctuating current value that you can look up in a table somewhere.
Also, what many people dont seem to understand is that price =/= value. Whatever price a player is bought for is entirely relative to the sell/buy demands of the two parties and their negotiations, the agreed does in the vast majority of times NOT relfect the actually value of the player.
So its nonsensical to start talking about “player value” decreasing based on their initial sales price, when in fact players are usually overpaid for and their value never reflected the sales price in the first place.
There are no de facto way to meassure the actual value of a player, largely subjective. If Ranocchia was sold for 100m, would that mean his value was that?
This.
Icardi to Inter is worth €80m+ but in actuality he’s worth much less (€35-45m), his value is greater being on the team then not on it, so in order for other teams to purchase him, they have to give to get.
Just like Messi is not worth over a €250m+…
This is getting to something which is not fair to me. I dont hear things like this from milan bertolaci, roma iturbe, juventus pjaca, but yes lets demolish inter players all of them when they played badly. Fuck italian media!
imo joao mario has been good. ´concistent. except from that open goal miss.

I agree with you but to be honest it is pretty difficult to go for Pjaca and Bertolacci as they have been injured almost constantly ever since joining Juve and Milan respectiveliy. Iturbe has been loaned out the entire 2016. Kondogbia, Jovetic, Eder and Ansaldi has been available almost very often, and it is very rare that they deliver a good performance. But to their defense it is pretty difficult to work with 3 different coaches this season and a mangement controlled from China, whom with all due respect are newbs when it comes to running a big european football club.
The best comment of this month so far.
