It seemed to be a done deal, but now it looks like it’s going south. Lindelof to Manchester United may not be a reality anymore. José Mourinho doesn’t need a central defender nor will he pay more than 30 million euro for one during this transfer window. The deal is still standing but talks will take place in June and not in January. This means that should Lindelof renew his contract with Benfica, the new buy-out clause will be 60 million euros. Should Manchester United continue to pursue Lindelof could that open the way for Inter to sign Kostas Manolas from Roma during the summer transfer window.
