According to Tuttosport, Inter have already decided who Mauro Icardi’s deputy will be next season.
22-year-old Colombian Roger Martínez is set to arrive from Jiangsu Suning in the summer, having scored ten goals in the Chinese Super League this season.
Oberto Petricca, an Italian agent who is very active in the Chinese market, explained his attributes:
“He is a modern player. He can play both as a No.9 and as a second striker. And with the new, more restrictive rules which are set to be launched in China in order to reduce the number of players being purchased from abroad, his sale could prove to be opportunistic for Jiangsu.”
Petricca also had words of praise for Inter’s new ownership:
“Having discovered a good striker like Martínez, Suning have proved themselves to be skilled in organising a sporting project.”

I see people mentioning Caprari and Gabigol. But those 2 are not CF. So cannot be vice Icardi.
What about Caprari?
I prefer Caprari.
Caprari plays in Serie A and an Italian.
We don’t need to wait his adaptation or adjustment.. unlike Gabigol.. 🙁

Gabigol will be backing up (or starter) for Perisic and Candreva as winger or inside forward.
But, I prefer Pinamonti as Icardi’s vice if he’s ready and mature enough

Honestly, a young player as vice icardi isnt good. Moreover if icardi isnt pick up injury (hopefully). It’s hard to see icardi as not a starter in everymatch except for coppa matches.

Isnt gabigol the heir of icardi?? Besides we got too many strikers and if roger comes then i dont see gabigol getting any playing time soon.
Remember Palacio and Biabany will definately not be there next season and Eder may also possibly leave.

I haven’t seen him at all and I don’t watch the Chinese league, but even if the league is not that hard, 10 goals and 4 assists in 12 games is still pretty good. I wouldn’t mind getting him on a reasonable deal since it’s Suning’s club.
