La Gazzetta dello Sport talks about today’s challenge between the two bombers Icardi and Belotti. “Both of class of 1993 and both with the possibility to be stars in the next World Championships 2018. The Italian has already made it to the Italian national team, while Icardi for some reason is still out of the Argentine one. It’s difficult to motivate playing Pratto and Alario instead of Icardi, Inter captain with 85 goals in Italy (both Sampdoria and Inter). The numbers of the two attackers says it all: Belotti has 22 goals, 9 with his right-foot, 5 with his left-foot and 8 headers. Icardi has only 1 goal outside of the area and has scored 11 with his right-foot, 3 with his left-foot and 8 with his head. Under Pioli Icardi has become more of a team player and can show 4 assists in the championship. Both players have huge buy-out clauses, 100 million for Belotti and 110 for Icardi (valid only outside of Italy though).

Yes,Belotti is having a great season he is finally showing his worth and he will probably become world class but he needs to show consistency now for me to be considered on par with our capitano…
Icardi is already at another level imo ’cause he has been scoring regularly for last 4 seasons in Serie A which is one of the toughest leagues to score in,he already has the top scorer award in serie A and he has 3 seasons in a row in which he scored at least 16 goals in serie A,he scored 85 goals in serie A (samp and Inter combined) and already broke some records at Inter…Belotti still has none of that,and for that reason saying belotti is better is just stupid..
And i repeat i do not hate Belotti or am i deluded by Icardi,it is just logic Icardi has showed lot more then Belotti and they are same age…

I admired Batistuta so much when I was a little boy! I think Icardi has also mentioned that Batigol was his rolemodel!!
Having switched to 4-2-3-1, the system that thoroughly favours Icardi, I expect at least a double from Icardi in this game (but a hat-trick is preferable though).
